    Oh, I spotted a recipe for really low syn chocolate cheesecake somewhere the other day - but I haven't tried it. Has anyone else? I think I'd use real cocoa rather than options but... heh...

    Apologies if this is someone's recipe and I've pinched it!

    Choccy cheesecake
    0.5 sins per serving (Serves 4)
    Ingredients;
    227g/8oz very low fat cottage cheese
    113g/4oz very low fat natural fromage frais
    1 sachet Ovaltine Options, chocolate (2.0sins)
    Canderel, to taste
    1 Egg

    Method;
    Preheat the oven to 180C,350F or Gas Mark 4.
    Place the cottage cheese, fromage frais and chocolate option in a liquidizer,
    add some Canderel to taste and blend until smooth.
    Beat the egg and fold into the chocolate cheese mixture. Pour into an
    ovenproof dish and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Allow the
    cheesecake to cool before serving.

    Sounds nice.... I'm REeeeeeeeeALLY hungry tonight - had to take a steroid tablet earlier and I have a munchies monster on my back, demanding cake, but I don't have the ingredients to make anything low syn. Booo!

    My cheesecake recipe is 12 syns and contains hi lites, cadbury animal biscuits (base) , gelatine, quark and some other stuff i cannot remember lol. Will post recipe and how it went when i have eaten it and seen if it is worth mentioning ;)

    How about some marion's rice on green, if you get the munchies...... I find that helped me last week (star week! - was starving and picky)
    DFW since JAN 2009 - 2014 will be the year i finally clear debts :) Just to see which month :))))

  • Weigh in day for me, so today will be an :A green day. A loss would be wonderful, but so long as any gain is no more than 1lb I will still be in my target range. I need to think about losing a couple of pounds over the next few weeks, I am hovvering too high in my target range - a bit closer to the middle would be more comfortable :rotfl:

    B 0% yog with berries, tea (milk HA)

    L spanish omlette (onions, potatoes and peas) with a big (half plate) salad. 'real' salad dressing with 1/2tbsp oil (1/2 B) and balsamic ...

    D smoked haddock (HB) risotto with leeks and a poached egg. 1/2 tbsp oil (1/2 B)

    Hi sorry it's been a few days!

    It's my weigh in night tonight and I said 1lb to my consultant last week but secretly I was hoping for 3 -1.5 from last week + 1.5 = 10%. I have never in all my years of doing SW got my 10% and it would mean so much to me, so fingers crossed at 6.15pm this evening!
    One fine day I will be slim and debt free!!

    Hi Rach,

    Here it is :-

    Egg custard

    Our yummy egg custard serves two people and at 2½ Syns is perfect for pudding, or as a suppertime dish to beat bedtime hunger pangs. Simplybeat two eggs together in a bowl, heat 284ml/½ pt skimmed milk until almost boiling and pour over the eggs, beating well. Add artificial sweetener to taste. Strain the mixture into an ovenproof dish and sprinkle with grated nutmeg. Stand the dish in a roasting tin and pour in hot water to come halfway up the sides of the dish. Bake the custard in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes at 170°C/325°F/Gas Mark 3, until set. Comfort food at its best!

    Does anyone know what it means by 'strain the mixture'? Sorry - I'm not much of a cook!
