lol! amongst many other job descriptions, I taught food tech to 11-18yr olds.

Have you attended a class to get the books and information. I hear that you cannot attend a class regularly, but you will find it all much easier once you know the 'rules' and you have a little book to refer to! Even just attending one class will get you all the books you need to follow the plan at home.

I am similar to you though - I like food (don't we all :rotfl:), so for years I have just eaten a bit too much of the wrong stuff! I like SW as I can eat the food I like, whilst learning to apply a little moderation to the foods I know I should cut back on.

speak soon - and feel free to post another daily menu - we will gladly help if we can.

When are you weighing yourself, and how long have you been following the plan?

Weighing myself about 10 times a day - naughty I know! Must stop!

I have all the books, been to SW before and a friend of a friend is a consultant so naughtily sold me a set of books, I have recently aquired EE plan which is my bible at the minute, I need to invest in some ood cook books as I am all too guilty of using cooking sauces that are soooo high in syns so need to put skills to some good use.

I'll try to be back tommorow with another days meals

    B

PS: I would love to teach Food Tech, would beat the food industry any day x

lol! I meant which day are you weighing on :rotfl: I weigh (officially) 6pm on a tuesday - that's tomorrow  and I'm not sure it's looking good ...

(and I know that because I probably weigh 2 times a day - morning and night - bad bad bad angie)
  • I too have weigh in tomorrow and I am hoping it is a loss this week - I put on 1/2 lb last week. No particular reason, just eating too much I guess. However, for those number crunchers amongst you, I am hoping I will have achieved 40 lbs loss this week and it is my 40th week of slimming world and it is 40 weeks until 2010 and I need to lose another 40 lbs until target. How about that.

I have been sticking to the plan 100% this week; so I do hope I do it.

Oh, I do hope you get a loss tomorrow night :D You sound like you deserve it :D

Make sure you get an entry form for the 40th anniversary promomtion in class - you have the chance to win £1000 (which would be nice) - In fact, you may get 2 entries - one for the 40lb loss, and another for the 40th week at SW.:money:

Oh, and your next post on here will be your 40th too :D
  • angie loves veg lady, thank you so much for your input...

Your absolutely RIGHT about the being able to eat more of things if you wizz them! I make vegetable soup and wizz it up because I much prefer the thick gloopy soup but then I can put away twice as much compared to if I left the veg chunky... from now on I will blend some so I get the thickness but keep most of it chopped! so hopefully I'll have less mouthfuls!

didnt get home in time to defrost the soup for tea today :( so I had bacon and eggs instead (bacon, lean & grilled, Eggs soft boiled with a bit of pepper) (And I was in a pub earlier that only sold bad foods, and though I wavered, I simply had a diet coke and made myself wait till I finally got home to eat my tea - Im very proud of myself here :D)

e & B...only things in the house GRRR....

So tomorrow hopefully fitting a food shop in... I will have:

Breaky: WM Toast HEB with 1 tbs Houmous (syns)
    Water

snack Natural yogurt with some fruit

Lunch, Processed chicken slices with salad leaves

Tea - the homemade veg soup and slimming world wedges.

can someone tell me if I can have actual olives as my HEB? or are they always syns? thanks :) xx

  • OMG I've just noticed my post count and just had to post again to make it 40.

Next week might not be as easy as this week because it is DH and my 44th wedding anniversary on Friday; so I'm going to flexi syn and be extremely good until then.

As I understand olives are always 7 for 1 syn.

(but ... did you know that you can have 28g houmous / 57g reduced fat houmous as a B choice?)

Just checking, but are you eating enough to satisfy your appetite? ... I think your lunch would leave me hungry, and if you are following EE of course you could add a baked spud or pasta or rice etc ....

    Hi

I've just spent an hour reading [STRIKE]all[/STRIKE] some of these posts.

I have the real insentive I need to loose weight by the summer. A wedding and a graduation. I don't want to look at the fat photos for ever!

    I'm 5'8" and weigh 14 stone 4 lbs and I'm size 20

If I'm sensible how much can I realistically expect to loose by July 11th if I joined SW. Knowing this would be a bit of extra insentive.

    Man thanks

How much weight you lose is really dependent on you and how you lose....... July 11th is a good 3.5mths away so i would say you could lose at least a stone if you follow the plan - but more is possible! Better to think in dress sizes. I reckon you could be a size 16 by july 11th, possibly a 14.............
