Have just changed my signature, as after a mad weekend last week at a wedding in Prague (sooo much Budvar ...yum) lots of eating lovely food etc I seemed to have piled on 4lbs in a week . Nevermind both oh and I are in the mindset to get back on it from today. so going for EE so we can eat whats in the fridge.
B - 2 slices of nimble with bacon and 2 poached eggs (heb, free)
L - baked pot with beans, side salad (free)
D - spag bol with lean mince. (1-2 syns for the mince as not extra lean)
snacks will be lots of fruit and a muller lite. Loads of water.
syns will be 2 slices of garlic bread (3 1/2 syns each)
Hea will be milk in my tea and will drink any left over with my dinner,
BTW I tried a mushroom rissotto recipe out Aug/Sep 2008 mag last night. we added porcini mushrooms to it also, it was absolutly delicious, felt really indulgent. If anyone want this recipe (not sure if its on the website) then let me know and ill type it up.
Hi Louise, good to see you (this is edited so cant add smilies, so this is me waving ........):santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
nic2075 - yes please for the risotto recipe. Breadwise Warburtons Wholemeal 400g, makes ok toast and sandwiches. I dpo miss white warburtons toasty though.
We had the chicken and pasta salad out of this months magazine last night and that was very good.
I took the 'who cares I can always lose it again' approach to holiday drinking (and to a lesser extent eating) last week and am dreading tonights weigh in. This will be my first gain ever and I am guessing in the region of 4/5lbs . Have been on and off with slimming world for a while (used to help out the consultant who i babysat for as well) My friend has also recently become a personal trainer and has done a plan for me for free
Last week was my first week back on it (not going to class as really cant afford it!) and have lost 6lbs
Fingers crossed I can keep on it!
Having bacon and 1 low fat sausage for breakfast today- not sure about the rest of the day yet though, maybe homemade burgers with salad and baked potato (yum yum)0 -
I use the turkey mince and beef mince (the middle priced one) from morrisons, are these both free?
Have my weigh in tonight, stayed the same last week when I stuck to the plan so a bit nervous!0 -
Laura, both must be 'extra lean' to be free otherwise they have syns.0

Green - Free
Extra Easy Free
Serves 4
Not suitable for freezing
Time to table 45 mins
8-10 spring onions
4 Garlic cloves
4 Baby leeks
14oz/397g mixed mushrooms
A small handful each of fresh parsley and rosemary
Fry Light
9oz/255g arborio rice or risotto rice
13/4pt/1 litre stock made with vecon or chicken bovril
salt and freshly ground black pepper
1. Prepare the ingredients: finely chop the spring onions; peel and finely chop the garlic;finely slice the leeks;cut the mushrooms into bite size pieces and chop the parsley and rosemary.
2. Spray a large non stick pan with frylight and stir-fry the spring onions, garlic and leeks for 3-4 mins. Add the mushrooms and rice and stir-fry for a further 3-4 mins.
3. Add a ladleful of the stock and stir and cook until the liquid has been absorbed. Repeat adding a ladleful of stock at a time, until all the stock has been used up and the rice is creamy and tender. this will be about 25-30 mins.
4. Remove from the heat, season well and stir in the chopped herbs. Serve immediately.
When i made it I used dried porcini mushrooms, I kept the liquor they soaked in and used it instead of some of the stock, this made it extra tasty. I also used my HEA and had parmesan on top. I also coldnt get any baby leeks but it was very yummy as it was.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Hiya,
I've been doing the slimming world diet from memory (I joined 5 years ago, lost a lot of weight and stopped going, now 5 years on I've had a baby and have a bit of weight to lose and thought I'd start the SW plan again)
I mostly have a very healthy diet but eat too much. I am vegan so only do green days so that makes it simpler and mostly I can remember everything I need. However I had a rowntree's fruit pastille ice lolly yesterday and as I have no books now can't find out how many points this is? I had a free day apart from this so I hope it's not too many sins!
Sorry to be really cheeky but I lost my books and just cannot afford to re-join at the minute, any help would be really appreciated! Thanks.0 -
