Hi all, im a newbie so treat me gently ( or I may enjoy it :rotfl:). Having read the whole thread in two days and been inspired and convinced that this is what I need, I want to give it a go. My cousin has lost loads of weight on the SW, gone from a size 18 to a size 10, so I know it works!! ( i havent been a size 10 since i was 14, but not sure that i can do that, as my hips have spread from childbirth!!) I'm a size 16/18

I do want to go to the classes but cant until the kids go back to school, as all my local meetings are in the evenings and one is in the day, their dad works away so I have no one to look after them when I go and I didn’t want to put it off till they went back to school to start. I wanted the mums to say “wow look how much slimmer you are” when I take them back in September.

I have grasped the jist of the green/original days and the syns and think I will stick to that, thought what I’m not sure of is the Healthy Extras A’s and B’s, could someone either put up a list of what they are or PM me them please?

I will weigh myself at the Boots weighing machine on a Friday and let you know of my progress. I am currently 11 stone 11lbs and want to lose 3 stone to get to 9 stone.
Thanks and looking forward to losing weight and the lovely support and helpfulness shown on this thread.
And yes the lady in the avatar is me

Have a look on the official SW website there's lots of info on there and have you got the magazine? That is the best place to start. Whenever I have a 'wobble' I always dig out my old copies and read and read and read!!

Stayed the same today :o but can't moan really as I haven't really been that good but image therapy was ace!! My consultant did a big board of questions for all the pros and cons for losing weight and some of the questions really hit a raw spot for me, so I have come away with a list of steps to success which I drew up for myself while we were talking, I am going to print them out and stick them up everywhere at home, thought I'd share it on here too

    1. read a magazine a night for motivation and inspiration
    2. fill in a food diary don't give up half way through the week!
    3. drink more water (put bottles out on the side ready the night before)
    4. plan meals for whole day not just evening meal
    5. make a shopping list from the meal plan and then stick to it
    6. get rid of rubbish food, if it's not there I can't eat it (OH said he would support me!)
    7. walk every night (15-20mins)
    8. really focus on why I want to be slimmer
    9. believe that I can do it!
    10. use the web site to keep on track
    :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last

Well i went to weigh in tonight and put on 2.5lbs  It was expected really as i have only been following the plan 50% of the time for the last 3 weeks. It was a relief really as i can now start a fresh.

I would love to loose the 2.5lb next week but have set myself a mini target of 1lb.

Which Butlins did you go? We've been going since i was 9! I love it as i can be a kid rather than the 30 year adult i am.

We're hoping to go again in Oct and hopefully to stay in 1 of the hotels.

we went to Minehead - it was our first time at Butlins and we had a FAB time

3lbs on this week but I had eaten my tea before weigh in which I never normally do (was starving and don't get back from WI till 830pm). I'm aiming to at least lose the weight I've put on at next WI

I sat down and worked out that if I can lose 2lb a week from now till Xmas I'll be in the "healthy weight" range for the first time in my life :o what a cool start to 2010!

what target is everyone else working towards?

:hello: mgsnomey - quite a few flyladies doing SW now.

I lost 2lb at my weigh in, so I made my two stone before our holiday target :j:j

The quark based quiche suprised me by being excellent - no lumps or sharpness like you get with cottage cheese.

Hey hex2, what is a flylady?

Well in a bid to boost my weight losses I have downloaded the couch to 5k application for my phone and I have just completed the first stage. I was Reading the running for beginners article in this months sw magazine and I have decided to give it a go. I'm hoping it gets easier.

    Bake Off Boss!
Got weighed at Boots today...16st 5lbs . Not too surprised as I can really feel being heavier this time.

Been reading my mags and books again and hoping to lose a good bit, but slowly. Maybe 2 or 3 lbs a week. Though I always look for more the 1st week.

I have my supplies in now and going to get serious. Just have to remember to keep drinking water.

Great to be able to come on here as not going to class any more.

Hi all can I join in I go to a class locally and am a confirmed yo yo dieter for most of my life who wishes to kick the habit. I go to class and feel good when I leave and then life takes over and all of a sudden it is time for the class again and I just hope I have done well. Some weeks I loose a couple of pounds the next week I almost go on a mission to put it back on without thinking about it. I really need to get my head around it, considering setting myself a target or a reward system not quite sure what is best can anyone advise me otherwise.
Hope you all have a good loose this week you all sound as though you are really doing well. A bit fed up moneytree1 starting weight 16st 5 1/2
