Bradnjanet - I've got the food directory and all the books from my big sis now they are about 2 years old and look ok.
Burtoc - thanks for the encouragement, and well done you on losing 17lb that's great.
I had a lovely SW recipe for bran and sultana and carrot muffins, don't suppose anyone has it do they, they were yummy.

    Hey all,

I'm back and this time for good. I'm determined to get the weight off and I have a huge incentive to do so...my health.

My Dad passed away a month ago from a heart condition that led to a heart attack, we didn't know there was anything wrong with him and as you can imagine his sudden passing was a huge shock.

I've been told Dads condition could be something that may affect me in the future so I'm on a mission now to shift the extra 3 stone I'm lugging about, not just for me but for Dad.

Since Dads funeral I've been stressed which always makes me hungry, I've been eating food like a hoover and also had a trip to Scotland last weekend which involved nights out including beer, beer and more beer. I gained 3lb in two days!!!!

I've made a real effort over the past 6 days and have lost 4lb and am determined to get to my goal, wish me luck!

  • Hello everyone - I am currently in my 3rd week of SW and am really struggling, I have food allergies and struggle with the superfree food - I cant eat fruit apart from bananas, I have problems with most salad items and veggies - and can not have any dairy, and it would appear that I now have a problem with soya!

I know - not much going for me eh!!!! :rotfl:

I have lost 2lb altogether and keep a really strict diet sheet but its not working - can anyone help with alternative 'A' choices and other superfree foods I can eat?

    Hi there

I've been to Slimming World a couple of times now.

1st time I was really good and stuck to plan no problem and lost nearly 2 stone. Went on holiday and that was it...just couldn't get back on track.

Re-joined club last year again and lost 10lbs, but again it was 2lbs off, then 1 on the next week etc, + I really didn't think the leader was very supportive (new lady) and I didn't go back.

I have all the books and I'm wanting to try it again myself (I know it's better if you go to a class but having to watch the money just now).

Hoping to weigh myself in Boots 2 moro and start again. It is the only diet I have lost weight with.

I'll come back on here if that's ok for some tips.

Could someone tell me how many sins are in a pkt of Crosse & Blackwell Mega Noodles..chicken or mild curry flavour.

I can't find it in my food directory

    Thanks

    Lola

My appetite is doing my head in, I had dinner two hours ago and I have the munchies again!

I was thinking of the following tomorrow for a red day, what do you think?

    Breakfast -
Bacon and eggs cooked in fry light, then weetabix and mullerlight once I get the office

    Mid morning - banana

    Lunch -
Ryvita with sliced cooked beef and cottage cheese

    Dinner -
Baked salmon with salad and mixed veg

Don't know what syns to have yet, I usually have some of kind of chocolate thing in the evening.

    That sounds good to me.

I've been looking through my books tonight but not sure whether red or green for me 2 moro. I usually have red days, but have been enjoying pasta things lately so maybe green.

I'm not at work just now so even harder to stick to diet, but I'm going to do my best.

I've got my crackerbread and plenty free food in but going for extra fruit 2 moro.

  • been on holiday to Butlins for a week and haven't cooked at all :o we splurged on takeaways and ready meals all week! dreading weigh in tomorrow night. Am hoping that all the walking and chasing the kids will have minimised the damage.

on a positive note I went on the water chutes and all the funfair rides (even the scary skymaster) which is something I'd never have had the nerve to do before I lost weight

back on track now, fresh start and aiming for size 16s!
    Mum of 7 (aged 14y to 1y)
loving SW - 5st off and counting! :j

Aargh, sounds like a nightmare!! I'm sure you'll find loads of ideas and inspiration here; any forum that has banana and marmite on it must be imaginative, to say the least.

Can I just ask if anyone has seen the mag this month, why is it that the spiced mango puree with watermelon on p82 has 3.5 syns? It seems a lot for fruit, chilli and spices.

Good luck to everyone for a new week, anyway.

Haven't seen the mag, but use of the word 'puree' suggests it's syns as the fruit has been broken down.

Once fruit is cooked or put in a liquidiser etc, the structure of the fruit has been changed and it is synable. The Consultant will have a better expanation, but I believe it's something on those lines!
