You don't mean 100gms of porridge oats do you? The HEB allowance for p/oats is 28gms.

Skint_Catt you may have already seen these recipes but if not and you're craving Scotch Eggs these might fit the bill:-

Vegetarian Scotch Eggs (syn-free on Green Plan)

    4 eggs
1 pack Smash – Buttery or Original flavour
    Couscous

Hard boil eggs and let them go cold.
Make Smash up as normal, and leave to go cold.
Shell the eggs, and cover with the Smash then roll in couscous.
Bake in a hot oven gas 8 until golden.

Serve with salad or sin free chips/wedges and baked beans.

Syn free scotch eggs (Syn-free + HEB for bread crumbs on Original plan)

Marks & Spencer Count on Us Pork & Herb Sausages (remove meat from skins) (or Morrison's Eat Smart Pork sausage, 8-pack, chilled)
    Hard boiled eggs
57gms bread crumbs (toasted) or Scan Bran, crushed

Shape the sausage meat around the eggs, making sure the egg is covered.
Roll the covered egg in the crumbs until evenly coated.
Bake in pre-heated oven at 180C for about 25 mins.

Use the scan bran as part of a healthy extra b choice for a super free snack, or count 1 syn per 2 crispbread used.
Ah, Consultant on the ball as usual!! No, I make up 100g and use it over a few days, it's just easier for my simple brain, but I should have said this is not 1 portion!! Sorry.

I par bake a spud in the microwave (or you can parboil), then cut into wedges/chips, spray with frylight and bake in a hot oven until brown and crispy - Yummy, had them for tea tonight with SW courgette quiche and veggies! :T

I sometimes do them on a griddle on top of the stove, musch quicker that way.....

    Evening all
I really want to lose some weight as I'm 40 in January and have made it my aim to be fab and 40 not flab and 40 :) I also want to get fit so I can take an active part in my little boys life.

Anyhoo, at the moment my lovely boy starts school in september - arghh, so tbh I can't afford the time or money to attend class. Do you think I can go it alone? thought I'd try with a bit of support.

I did SW way back in 1996 and lost a couple of stone just before I got married, but contentment a baby and being a SAHm haven't helped my battle of the bulge.
When DS starts big school in Sept I'm aiming to get a lot of walking in and some swimming so that should help the weight issues and also my very dodgy back.
I've got green and original books, but what is extra easy - is it new???
DH has said I can subscribe to SW magazine which will be a great help.
Ok, gulp here's how it is, I'm 5 7" and weigh 12st 10 lbs, initially I'd love to get down to 11st. so that's me, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I've bought my digital scales so I can weigh myself. I'll be doing my onlie shopping order tomorrow, so all tips welcome.
    thanks

Hello all. My journey has stalled. I moved home and there wasn't a class near enough to me - or at the right tinme of day (for example I could go to one a 15 min walk from house, but it would mean walking back through dirt track near woods at night...) so I sort of fell off the wagon.

I am getting back on now. No idea how much I've put on, but my jeans are so tight!

Any new free green items I've missed in the last few months?

    And glad to be back!
I saw two shooting stars last night
I wished on them, but they were only satellites
It's wrong to wish on space hardware
    I wish, I wish, I wish you'd care

If your books are from 1996 you really do need to get the new ones as syn values have changed and there is now an emphasis on eating superfree foods for a good loss. You could join body optimise (the online Slimming World) if you can't get to a class but I think it would be worth the expense of joining so you have all the up to date info then of course you can get support from on here. Does anyone else agree?
Can't help with extra easy as I'm veggie so only do green.

Some of us managed to get free subscription from our GPs. Might be worth finding out if your GP does this referral scheme. I know at our GPs you have to have a BMI of 28. Not sure if that is the same at other places though .

    Welcome along JM

I've been doing SW on my own since April and have lost 17lb so far (and had a 2 week all inclusive holiday in the middle!) So if you've got the right mindset you can do it on your own. If you search the internet for slimming world, you'll find lots of recipes and support so go for it!

The magazine will be really useful for recipes and getting to know EE which is essentially Red AND Green plus one HEA and one HEB plus your 5 - 15 syns, there are a few people that have done SW in the past that have problems getting their head around this

If you want the up to date info, I have known people to go for the first meeting to get all the new books and then not go back, alternatively e-bay! I currently use the 2007 guide which I "borrowed" from my mum!

And remember, there's always us lot on here to help you through

    Good Luck!
