I like crab sticks on a red day or slices of ham with pickled onions:D
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Have got a desperate craving for chocolate even though I still can't atually smell or taste anything properly! Trying to save my syns for some roast potatoes and a glass of wine (or two!) at the weekend.......haven't a clue what to have for lunch either, I can't face salad today!

I only lost half a pound at my first weigh in last night, but I had a massive weekend the one before last so I think it has all caught up.

I only had 30 and half syns so wondering if I should up it? I thought they were optional though.

I went out last night and had steak and chips and a bottle of wine. Oops!

Over a year into the plan and I'm still on 15 syns a day - well, not necessarily 15 every day but I allow myself 105 for the week, so if I only have 8 each day, I can allow myself a treat one day in the week.
I can't say the amount of syns has affected my loss.
While I have been doing EE I started to cut my syns back a little as I seemed to be eating bigger meals but found my loss slowed down. Upped the syns again, the weight loss got back up to speed!

As I've said many times before, I think it depends on how much you have to lose, your age, metabolism etc. but my theory is if you have the syns, you are not depriving yourself of anything, your diet is varied and you don't crave.

    Just my thoughts!

Just heard a really nice way to do porridge - a bit like magic porridge mentioned way back. Weigh out 100g porridge and add 200g water. Leave overnight and eat in the morning with fruit and yogurt. (The recipe I read said also to add nuts and maple syrup but no, no, no...) Lovely light summery way to eat porridge I thought, and it's really tasty.

4li5on, do you find doing syns on a weekly total works? I'd like to try it but am a bit worried for some reason. Let loose with 105 syns!

I've always worked on weekly syns, I usually have 2-5syns a day in the week and then allow myself a bottle of wine at the weekend and a few extra nibbly bits to go with it!

I allow myself 70 a week but never worry if it goes to 100 when I have a special occassion (or a bit of a blow out;))

I've done SW several times over he years and always lose slowly but surely doing it this way :D My friendly consultant (now retired) said that you should always have some syns, she found that people who used them had better losses

Inazuma - I love porridge like that, I often take it to work with me if I'm having a late brekkie!
