I'm scared its my first weigh in tonight... eeekkk....

I have hit the gym so hard for the first time in years so if i dont lose any weight I will be so upset as really tried my best.

Think I will have salad for lunch, something as light as possible ha.

Vicxen - often a lot of exercise will mean you don't show a loss - but don't worry as it's a good change for your body and you may find you've lost inches instead of lbs this week. Keep at it - it does work! I've lost 6 stone in total over the years with SW and got 5 now to do.

What "treats" do people use their syns for ?

    :hello:Hi Jill

    on a bad day? White wine x 3 142ml glasses 13.5 syns

Other days I have the odd digestive biscuit for 3.5, or a club/penguin for 5.5 plus a few points on things like very low fat mayo. I really do know how to live! :p

I got some Tofu today for the first time ever - mainly because it was half price in Morrisons. Need to think of something to do with it if anyone has some suggestions?

I second what Skint cat said. I have only lost 1lb in the last fortnight but I have done at least 30 mins a day exercise. The trousers I couldn't quite fasten at the start of the fortnight now fit me so I am pleased regardless. Tape measure is a far better indicator than the scales IMHO.

    Hello:D

I started back on the SW plan this week, I've done it on and off for years  Hoping to lose a stone to start with and then see how I feel, I'm veggie so do Green days all the time.
I'm not going back to classes this time, my lovely consultant has retired through ill-health and I didn't exactly get on with her replacement :o

Does anyone know if the Quorn (pre-cooked) mini sausages are Free

I saw them in Sainsbugs the other day and they would be great for snack attacks but thought I'd better check first to see if any one knew??

A couple people on the previous page asked for the 3 bean chilli recipe. Its from the Oct 08 mag and is 75p per serving so very MSE. I love this recipe but adapt it slightly, instead of buying all those different tins of beans i buy 2 of the Asda Organic mixed beans in water. They are cheaper than all the others and are free as are in water. If the kids are having it i sometimes add 1/2 a tin of baked beans also, this makes it richer. So it ends up about 5 bean chilli lol but still tasty.

    Free on EE and Green
    Serves 4
    Time to table 30 mins

    1 onion
    3 Garlic cloves
    400g can Red Kidney beans
    400g can Mixed Beans
    200g can Chickpeas
A small handful of fresh coriander or 1Tbsp dried
    Fry light
1-2 tsp Chilli powder ( i also add dried crushed chilli flakes for extra flavour)
    1 tsp ground cinnamon
    2 tbsp ground cumin
    2 x 400g tin chopped toms
    1 tsp artificial sweetener
    salt and pepper to taste
4 tbsp very low-fat Fromage frais
    A pinch of paprika

1.Finely chop the onion and garlic cloves. Drain and rinse the beans and chickpeas. Roughly chop the coriander.

2 Spray a large saucepan with frylight and place over a med heat. Add the onion and garlic, and stir-fry for 2-3 mins.

    3. Add the chilli powder, cinnamon, cumin, toms and artificial sweetener. Bring to the boil. Season well, cover tightly and cook over a low heat for 10 mins.

    4. Add the beans and chickpeas. Mix well. Return to the heat for a further 10 mins.

    5. Serve in warm bowls. Spoon over a tablespoon of fromage frais, sprinkle with paprika and coriander.

serve with boiled rice or SW chips.
this is also great the next day.

I'm a bit worried too Vicxen, my 4th weigh in but have not had a good weekend, slimming wise. Friends came round and brought lots of lovely puddings and chocolates, so have treated myself rather. Oh well, will cross my fingers and hope for a tiny loss.
