Well after me worrying about putting on, i actually maintained.

I am so pleased with myself.

I also had my Gym induction last night, which went really well.

A maintain (or STS, stayed the same) is a good result ...anything is better than a gain .

well done and have a good SW week ahead :)

well weigh in day today - 3lb off for me and 3.5lb for my other half. She has passed the stone off mark now and into a new weight bracket :j:j

We are off out to a meerting tonight and have been really good for 6 weeks now so we decided on a treat - a curry at the local indian.

My fav is Chicken Balti & boiled Rice, Nikki will eat different stuff but likes rogan josh

Can anyone advice as to syn values on these and suggest an alternative of a lower syn value.

Looking forward to it but dont want to ruin all the hard work.

    Thanks

I make myself some scrambled egg then fold in or stir in some salmon, tastes rather nice. I have been know to use my HEB brown bread for some toast.

Chicken Balti is one of my faves too. Basically anything without the sauce will be better for you - so thing slike tandoori which are cooked 'dry'. I think you can also get grilled king prawn type dishes. Boiled rice is the best way to go - just stay away from the fried rice (though you can make a free green version of egg fried rice yourself which is YUMMY!)

Oooh might have to make the egg fried rice for myself now tonight!

    Hi All,

Cor I am really struggling to feel satisfied this week - I feel like I am starving the whole time. Oh well, I'll see if it was worth it at the end of the week.

Anyway, can anyone help with syn values please?

Any idea on the Syns of 1/4 jar Patak's dry curry paste/sauce balti flavour?

Also the book says that LF greek yog is 1 syn per 100g - why is this when LF yog and Quark are free foods? Is the Total 0% still 1 syn or is that free?

One last thing - does anyone have any ideas for a green day vegetarian meal with no syns that I can serve up for me and a friend at the weekend? We are planning on a few wines and I am going out for a thai meal at the lunch time, so syns will be mainly spent on wine and that.

Ooops, one other thing - at the thai meal, I was planning on having a prawn (HEB) stir fry - any idea on the syn value for this? or anything else to recommend?

Sorry for so many questions. Thanks in advance!

Veggy meal suggestions - jacket potatoes with beans & salad; quorn sausages, SW chips, eggs & mushrooms (fried with the spray light); quorn roast with potatoes, veg & gravy (1 syn for the gravy maybe).

Not sure why the greek yoghurt is a syn, probably just slightly higher in fat, I find the free / non-free foods seem a bit arbitrary, but it does seem to work when you follow them.

I've been doing SW for 3 weeks and lost 7.5 lbs, got Slimmer of the Week this week. But I'm feeling fed up with it already. Not sure why, but it does seem to really limit what I can eat, everything needs cooking and I'm bored of the easy things to cook. Does anyone else feel like that?

I've bought the green cook book and Sauce book (I'm vegetarian), I guess I need to make myself actually use them and vary our diet a bit.

I'm meant to be starting a new job next week and feel stressed about that, so I think that dieting at the same time might be making me feel bad, but on the other hand you can always find excuses not to diet, can't you?
