    Here's how Extra Easy works:-

    1: Choose your Free Food

Anything that’s Free Food on Green OR Original – so that’s pasta, rice, potatoes, lean meat, poultry, fish and all the Superfree food – is totally Free on Extra Easy! Yes, you can eat unlimited meat, potatoes and veg, fish, chips and mushy peas, and chicken curry and rice with no measuring, no weighing, no counting – no kidding!
And for super-fast, super healthy results, fill one third of your plate with Superfree Food!
    2: Choose your Healthy Extras

Each day select one Healthy Extra ‘a’ choice and one Healthy Extra ‘b’ choice from our simplified list of calcium and fibre-filled foods, including milk, cheese, bread and cereal.
3: Enjoy 5-15 Syns each day

And if the Syn values for Green and Original foods are different on the standard Syns lists, count the lower one!

If you find your weight loss has slowed down or stopped, check………
    1. Whether everything you're counting as Free, is Free

    2. Whether you're under-estimating Syn values (over-estimate if guessing)

    3. Whether you're counting everything that should be counted

    4. Whether you're measuring everything that should be measured

    5. Whether you're sabotaging your success in any other way (using SAS logs will help uncover individual long-term self-sabotage patterns) and, if none of these is the culprit, either...........

A: increase the proportion of Superfree Foods to half of your plate

    OR

B: switch to more Speed Foods

And above all, if you follow the plan, any plan, 100% you will lose weight!
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    Well done judderman!

Right, bit lazy but I bought a six pack of mullerlight the vanilla choc/orange choc/something with a cherry layer? am assuming i need to syn the last one? I will look it up later but I find the SW syn finder such a pain in the b to us, wish they would simplyfy it so you didn't have to do manufacturer and then the product and you just had to type in a few words...

Hi everyone, whist my weightloss has slowed I've noticed that i am still shape shifting quite alot. i'm just off to my designer outlet to buy some size 32 George trousers. I think I got married in 32s when I was 23!

    Hi there

I am a fallen Weightwatcher  . Got to goal 3 years ago and after baby number 3 its all gone wrong again. I have been doing it so long over the years (10 years I reckon) I am so bored of it, can do it without thinking which is the problem - I am not forced to think much about what I eat and so I eat rubbish too much. My weight has been up and down the odd pound in either direction for a year now

I am thinking of giving SW a go by going along to meetings, I have borrowed the green/red book from a friend and mostly understand it. I have some questions though and wondered if you lot could help ?
    1. What is the style of the meeting ? Do you have to announce your loss/gain to the whole group ?
    2. Is there a topic of discussion or is it just discussing everyones losses or gains ?
    3. Do they give you a food diary sheet and what is it like ?
    4. Does the food diary sheet need to be handed in or is it up to you ?
    5. What books and other info do you get on joining?
    6. Has anyone else on here been to WW meetings as well as SW meetings and what are the differences ?
    7. On the eating plan, I am not clear about what snacks are allowed. I am a veggie and so will do mostly green days with possibly a red day as I eat fish from time to time.
    8. Just above someone said that the choc-cherry Muller Lights are 2 syns but the other choc-vanilla and choc-orange ones are free. Whay are the cherry ones not free ?

Think that covers it for now!

I am quite excited and wish it was Tuesday already so I can go to the meeting and get started!

    Thanks in advance
    Jill

Hi Jill and wellcome. Ive been doing SW on and of for a year and a half now, I managed to lose almost 3st doing it but a put a few pounds back on. Ive also tried WW and Scottish slimmers. I find SW by far the best as I eat so much healthier but can still have treats. ill try and answer some of your questions for you.

At the meetings you go in and all get weighed, only you and the consultant can see your weight. Then you sit down and wait for everyone to finish. I like this bit as ive met a few friends by just sitting chatting. She then goes round everyone and announces the weight loss and you get a wee clap. If you have a gain of over a 1lb they usually say such and such had a wee gain this week. But its all really positive, she offers help and asks what youve done differently etc. After everone has spoken she tells you about other news, you get a chance to ask questions and offer recipes, and of course slimmer of the week is announced.

In your starter pack you get your red/green book and Extra easy book and a couple others and you also get 4 weeks worth of food diaries. Ive photocopied these and still use them. they are really well laid out and keeps you right.
You dont hand in your diaries at all. But you can show your consultant to check you are doing things right, or if your gaining and dont know why she will go through it.

I did WW years ago, but I didnt enjoy the meetings at all. I felt no insentive to stay to the meeting, I found it quite formal without much opportunity to talk to the consultant or ask questions. I was nervous about SW at the begining, especially knowing id have to talk as im very shy. but its this part that makes me want to share my experiences, and feel good about myself and I can also see how others are doing and knowing your not alone.

I also eat mostly green days, so for snacks you can eat anything from the free food list ie fruit, veg and certain yoghurts. I also eat loads of SW style cooked chips with chilli flakes and fromage frais (all free) orI make a quiche out of a pasta n sauce, add extra mushrooms or whatever you fancy, when cooked and cooled slightly I then whisk in an egg the n put in a try to set then munch later. and of course you have your syns to use up daily so I have them for treats like a choccy biccie or 2.

As for the cherry mullers,I believe they have syns as they have a cherry compote style layer. Im not sure if theres more sugar in it or simply the volume of fruit used in the fruity layer.

I hope that all helps. this is a great thread to ask questions and everyone is very friendly and helpful.

    happy munching
