Thank you so much for replying. I'm afraid these ones weren't homemade they were from the butcher. In the end i guestimated the syns. They were lovely but i was surprised buy the amount of fat that came out of them (thank goodness for the george forman grill)
I always make homemade beefburgers but i've never tried pork & apple.
Do you put any herbs or other seasonings in?
Many thanks
JoA home made would be free on Red, we make them all up to the HEB weight and freeze them so they can be used with Salad on R Days or Pasta/wedges etc on G days - or served in a HEB Brown roll.
Can thoughly recommend homemade Lamb ones - we did them with Chillis in for extra bite!0 -
The only place I've seen quark is in tesco. It's usually by the mozzarella etc.0

Glad to see everyones doing so well. I put on 1lb this week, but i expected it so it's ok. I have to say though my confidence is soaring! I used to be a 16/18, infact in marks and monsoon I was an 18 (16 in topshop, dotty ps etc.) and I went this morning to find a dress for henley regatta tomorrow and in marks the 16s were too big!! Not so big I could go down a size though. And in monsoon I found 2 stretchy dresses in a 14 that fitted!! The 16s in the more tighter fabric fitted, but still a little tight though. This is the first time I've noticed anything as in my normal clothes I haven't seen any difference, i guess things just fit a bit better.
I find quark in most supermarkets by the cottage cheese. So almost between the cream and the cheese, lol!Joined Slimming World 19th May 2009

Can't find Quark anywhere though, or fat free fromage frais, feels like I'm on mission impossible! Ended up using 3 syns on a 3% fat creme fraiche instead as I had in my mind I was making pasta with bacon onion and mushroom with somethng mixed in it!
If you have a Morrisons near you, try there because I used to get it there too..good luck:T

I've never had a problem getting Quark or fromage frais from anywhere.
The Quark is usually around the brie and posh cheeses in our Sainsburys and with the Dairylea and such in Tesco. Asda, if I remember right, it's near the cottage cheese (but I don't go to Asda very often!)

Fromage frais is with the greek and natural yogurts in both Tesco and Sainsburys:

The links will give you an idea where abouts they are in the store by checking the categories! Hope that helps!0 -
Yep, I did a search of the cream and cheese in Waitrose, Sainsburys and even Asda. Will stroll down to Morrisons tomorrow see if I can strike lucky.
It's my 'turn' to buy goodies for the office today. Really don't want to as I know I'll be tempted. Might buy myself a box of cherries instead...0 -
Know what you mean about the Quark - I used to get it in Tescos up to 2 weeks ago, now it has disappeared from the shelves
If you have a Morrisons near you, try there because I used to get it there too..good luck:T
yep, same problem for me. It just vanished from the shelves. According to my DH it is the most difficult thing on the shopping list for him to find.
My DH and DSs are all losing weight too which is not a good thing as two of them are now very underweight.
I think it is because I cook family meals using SW, and then try to get them to eat cheese on top or puddings, which they rarely do. Does anyone have any answers to this other than cooking seperate meals?business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Yep, just got back from Tesco it's a BIG superstore too - NO QUARK to be seen.......makes me mad as I use it a lot.....methinks I'll have to try Morrisons again
Re the family losing weight....tricky one if they won't eat cheese or desserts. Perhaps introduce another meal for them - supper or something? Maybe cheese on toast, cheese & biscuits, milky drink? Not sure if you are green or red .........make sure you have some free food you can eat at the same time they're snacking though:rotfl:New start JAN15 - NOT BUYING IT 2015 . I FOUND SOME QUARK!!
Sorry, just so relieved as I'd planned to use it in lots of meals! Went to a different Waitrose on the way home and scored two pots. Should keep me going for a few days...0
