The workout DVD they brought out at the end of the series of The Biggest Loser is supposed to be very good.
Haven't got it myself yet but the reviews on the internet are very good. Wouldn't mind having a look at it as the 2 trainers were fantastic during the series and some of the contestants are on the DVD doing the workout.
It is supposed to be a 6 week plan to help tone up, burn calories and speed up weight loss. Could well be worth a look. Only about £10.00 delivered! :T0 -
Er...right...conversation then....;)
Nice to see there are some regular posters on here AND that you're doing really well!
Day three of extra easy for me, doing ok so far but was really hungry yesterday, think I need to plan my lunches a bit more carefully so they are more filling but I haven't really got into the swing of it yet.....keep telling myself I only need to lose a pound a week and I'll get there in the end but my heart keeps yelling "faster faster!":o Am really going to try to be sensible given some of the nutso diets I've done in the past.
Has anyone tried (and had success) with the scan bran cake recipes? I've got one for carrott cake was thinking of giving it a go at the weekend. Mind you, have just noticed I didn't copy down the syn values so I'll have to try to find it again or work it out myself!0 -
WI today and lost 5.5lb which got me my 2 stone award! :j I was kind of shocked as I hadn't thought I was all that good this week. Maybe it's last week's wisdom tooth diet catching up with me?
I was wondering about that Biggest Loser DVD too. Did anyone else notice though that several weeks people were losing faff all, even with all the exercise and the healthy food provided. I was beginning to wonder if they'd all packed their suitcases full of mars bars rather than clothes and were scoffing them under the bedclothes at night!
Right, I'm off to panic. I'm supposed to be singing in a club tomorrow night for the first time in five years and there's not a thing in my wardrobe that'll fit me! I feel a shopping trip coming on . . . but first I'm going to go and have a skinny cow icecreamSlimming World convert, joined 23rd April 2009

Wow, 5.5lb is fab, well done! Good luck with the singing, think you deserve a new outfit after doing so well!
Have you watched the US biggest loser (I'm guessing you might have). To see what they lose each week and compare it with the people in the UK version it does make you wonder what was so different. I did find the attitude of a lot of the UK contestants rather pathetic though (Jamie and Katie made me want to scream every single time they were ridiculous!). Also wish they'd make it a little more educational rather than just reality tv. Ok, so they had the website but you had to pay to sign up to the biggest loser club without being able to really see what you'd get for your money, not sure they'd have had many takers!0 -
I have just weighed in and have lost 4 lbs since last week. I had gained that amount since the biginning of June so I hope I can o keep it off.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Just been to WI. I lost 3lb. I am soooo happy. Only half a pound to go to get my half stone award.
I got slimmer of the week too0 -
Well done loosers!!!!
Oooops, I put on 1.5lb, think it was the weekend in Manchester and a very boozy hen night the week before finally catching up with me! Oh well at least I know where I went wrong, so hopefully can shift it as quickly as I put it on!
Quick question: I brought a lemon chicken & mangetout salad sarnie from M&S when I work out the syns on extra easy can I say it's from free food (chicken) and it then is 7 syns (minus 6 for bread as HEB) therefore 1 syn OR am I not allowed to go down the freefood route when I syn it and therefore it is 13 syns (minus 6 for bread) therefore 7 syns?
Per 100g 145 cal/11.6 prot/17.7 carb/3.0 fat/180g portion
Thank you people!"this money saving lark is a full time job"0 -
Well done poohbear and neonic :j
Ah well Burtoc, just keep going and hopefully it will come good. Can't help with the sarnie I'm afraid...
Had a better day today, added couscous to my lunch which helped fill me up much better and it was easy to do at work just put it in a plastic box, when it was ready took out half and the other half is in the fridge for tomorrow.
Can't find Quark anywhere though, or fat free fromage frais, feels like I'm on mission impossible! Ended up using 3 syns on a 3% fat creme fraiche instead as I had in my mind I was making pasta with bacon onion and mushroom with somethng mixed in it!
Wondering if we'll get storms tonight, really need a decent nights sleep but it's not going to happen while it is this warm (yet on holiday in a hot country i sleep like a baby!).0 -
