Sorry no ideas, we are off Camping on 20th July and was thinking of doing a BBQ or pasta most nights.

I will keep an eye on the replies though, might get some ideas.

    Where you off camping?

We are having a week in cambridgeshire when the kids break up and a week in wales the first week of august ........what about you

Some of my camping staples could be adapted:

tinned potato with some onion and tinned ham made into an omelette with baked beans

packets of rice with added mushrooms and chicken/quorn fillet

packet pasta sauce (tomato)with the virtually fat free spicy sausage(bowyers) sliced into it

cowboy cassrole mini sausages(replace with low syn) with assorted beans and sweetcorn and chilli served with "fried" tinned new potatoes

might make a veggie curry to take for the first night i like to have something to just heat up

Pasta with spicy tomato sauce with added bacon bits or tuna

if it's hot i will be happy with bbq meat and salad

we often have the lidl chilli in a can too i was pleasantly surprised

Lidl Cutlers, Chilli Con Carne, canned 100g

    red.gif Original 4 Syns green.gif Green 3 Syns

Hmm must check the meat content???

:THi its skinny dee, i have only sent about 3 pots so i am still finding my feet!. I went to WI on Thursday afternoon and i'd lost one of the lbs i had put on,so quite happy, hopefully it's going back in the right direction.Have just been shopping at Aldi's and did a big fruit and veg shop, their fruit and veg are so cheap,i can really afford to pig out on it!! good luck to any of you that are weighing today!!!

Oh dear - complete write off for me this week! My younger son got engaged and his future mil threw a little party for them. I made a trifle and promptly ate 2 bowls of it myself. Not SW definitely!! Also went to a couple of things last Thursday and Friday that involved buffet suppers with really nice eggy sandwiches (my favourite). Over indulged rather.

HOWEVER, back on the wagon today, and avoided colleagues birthday cakes contribution. Tempting . . . .but I resisited. YAY!

Will expect a gain on Wednesday, but put it behind me. That's where it'll be, on my behind.

    Yey I lost 4lbs this week, and I WI'd a day early! :j

I've started back at SW after few weeks off after a bereavement so I'm very please, and I had 2 meals out and bottle of wine :D

I went to WI day early cos I'm off on a navy ship for next 2 days with work!! No idea what I'll be fed on the ship though, so I'll have to be very careful rest of week!

hi there - just wondering what this weeks password is - could anyone PM me please?
As for Camping, those batchelors pasta n sauce is easy enough if you just add water & bung in a pan. Baked potatoes are great over a fire too. Beans & chilli, cowboy type food I guess would be simple & other family members wouldn't necessarily know they were eating SW stuff.

Hi. If anyone is still up I could use some advise. I've just put a gamon joint in my slow cooker and I've heard it's nice with apple juice in there. Instead of doing that I wad considering putting apple chunks in but would this be classed as syns even if I don't actually eat the apple?
  • Been to weigh in tonight and lost another 3lbs - taking me to 2st 6lb total loss - really pleased esp since I've been using my full 15 syns every day this week

We're going on holiday in 3 weeks so am determined to keep on track to lose as much as possible before then. I've been doing lots of walking and been on the wii fit nearly every night once the kids are in bed.

If anyone can recommend a good exercise dvd for quick results (esp for abs) I'd be really greatful as I want to add that in on alternate nights with the wii fit.

    thanks :)

    Morning all!

Firstly dumpling, well done on your weight loss so far :T

So, joined up at SW last night, have done it before but many many years ago and it's changed quite a bit with the new plans but good to see the basics are still the same. Going to give the extra easy a go, breakfasts are the biggest problem for me when I'm at work, I'll need to find a decent cereal on the healthy extras list that I can stomach otherwise it will be fruit fruit and more fruit (luckily we have free fruit at work!!) not keen on the virt.fat free yogs so sadly that isn't an option, though I might give them another chance....

Anyways, about the camping, have done a couple of festivals and a friend always brings a frozen (home made) curry. Acts as a cooler block for everything else and is defrosted thoroughly (and safely) by the second day so you can use it to keep say your bbq meat cold for the first day then have that the second...mind you, not exactly curry weather at the moment!!

That sounds a good idea, might have to do that.
