About 17kg so far. My running is up to 3 times a week at around 18 miles total and I do martial arts 3 days per week now and swim twice per week with the family. It just shows how you don't loose weight by exercise alone! or, as we are finding, with exercise and a diet. Doh!It's frustrating Pete isn't it? I cycle, walk and swim, I also do quite a bit of gardening and housework and I very seldom sit down. Has anyone had any success with a dietry suppliment that is supposed to increase your metabolic rate and used it together with SW?
This one popped into my inbox this morning.

I often use hot chile powder in food because I have heard this keeps the metabolism going for longer, as does yet more exercise. I guess my dilema is over whether the appetite suppression aspect would interfere with the requirement to eat lots of food.
I'd be interested to learn of your experiences. Before anyone mentions drinking green tea.....no chance

Hello All,
I am thinking of doing a recipe from the SW website and it asks for bottled roasted red peppers. Does anyone know which supermarkets sell them and approx how much they are? Its the pasta pie if anyone is interested.
I made a recipe from the SW magazine and substituted the roasted peppers in brine for peppers from a bag of frozen mixed peppers. I zapped them in the microwave for 3 mins. Much cheaper and still very tasty0 -
Hello everyone. I stopped going to SW classes after a major blip in Dec/Jan - (where I put on 8lbs over Christmas!) and since then have put on another 5 - 6 lbs I think. So I'm going to go back on plan because overall I'd lost over 2 and a half stone. But I'm going to try to do it without the classes because they were always a nightmare for me, not having a babysitter, and having 2 pre-school kids in tow.
I'd love it if someone could PM me the secret word for this week & I'll use the online tools which are excellent.
Going to go shopping tomorrow to stock up on couscous and pasta, muller lights and alpen lights. I seemed to live on that last time...have i missed any other major slimming world news since January? (I'm waiting for someone to say that cadburys chocolate is free on a green day:rotfl:)0 -

I am back at SW too, after a hard few weeks. Went to first WI in 5 weeks last Tuesday and had put on 5lbs, all expected though so not too bad. This week I'm going to have to WI tomorrow as I'm away on Tuesday this week.

Hi there
Thought i would write on here for a bit of advice. I only have about 8lb to lose. Am doing slimming world from home as a few friends i know actually go to the group and to be honest i just can't afford to go!
Lost 3lb in the first week, now put on 1lb and weigh in on Tuesday. Am expecting to have put on then too. I find it so hard with the snacking and chocolate thing (am a bit of a chocolate fan)! I already go to the gym twice a week, swim once and run once so feel i can't fit any more exercise in!!
Also am being taken out for an indian on Thursday night but really don't know what to eat!! Red or Green day and whats best. Your help would be much appreciated!0
