What is the Club 10? I joined six weeks ago but I wasn't told .. haven't even made my target weight yet :s

    hey emma

it's 10% of your body weight I think, mine hasn't been worked out either yet but when I log on online and put in my WI it tells me which is good. it should be explained in one of the books you got in the pack i think....

The online site is really good, haven't you used it yet?

  • Oh, I was just coming in to ask what Club 10 was because I put my weigh in details into the SW site and it said I'd won the "Club 10 award" and I'd no idea! It wasn't mentioned in group at all. Lost 2lb yesterday - minor miracle as I spent four days on antibiotics, painkillers and very unhealthy squishy food this week due to a wisdom tooth. Thank goodness for Skinny Cow icecream is all I can say! Does it make me very sad or just very SW that when I booked the family holiday I made sure it was somewhere with a gym and a good sized swimming pool? I'm determined not to be fat and forty next year!

Catsy is correct it is a 10% loss of your original starting weight - apparently this 10% loss is when your weight loss is starting to have a beneficial effect on your body health wise. Its explained in the choose sucess book towards the back. My consultant makes quite a big thing of it and the benefits it brings. Also you get another sticker for your book, and we all know how important those stickers are :D

tee hee, I love the stickers!! glad I was right... apparently according to the graph thingy on the website i should hit my club ten on the 27th july.... not so sure but i guess we'll see!! I think that's when you really start to notice a difference too as I've lost quite a lot quite quickly, 9.5lbs in 5/6 weeks which I'm really pleased with but I can't see a difference. Maybe a few of my clothes fit a bit better, not got loser yet!! Although, my OH said he reckons I look slimmer, and usually those that see you everyday dont tend to notice until it's around the stone or more mark.

I have to say alot of my weight is on my tummy, people often mistakenly think im pregnant (in the past whilst sipping a blue WKD and having a fag!!!!!!! - as if!!). So has anyone got any tips to start to tone up my tum, in a quick easy way - say something I can do a few times a day just for a few minutes to get the ball rolling? I would hate to loose weight and be left with lots of excess skin in that area, I would like to help tighten it all! Also any recommendations for tightening the skin in that area? and helping out with the old stretch marks?

God i think i've been a bit too open.... ah well i guess this is what it's here for!!

Thanks for the explanation of Club 10 I have been wondering what it's all about. I also need to lose some fat off my gut and I'd appreciate any recommendations as well. lol
Be happy, it's the greatest wealth :)

I have previously lost almost 3 stone (put on 1.5 of those since Feb)
I felt as it was a steady loss I didnt have excess skin etc, i think that mainly happens with a dramatic quick loss.
I try and tone up by bouncing on my trampette for 5 mins at a time. I do sort of twists that I can feel working on my sides. It is also great for legs and bums. I also do the wii fit a lot, I find the hula hooping was helping loads with toning up. I try andwalk where I can as previously I would of taken the car. when im doing that I try and remember to 'pull my tummy muscles in' even just doing this for the odd minute seems to help.
As you can see I hate the gym lol, I dont mind team sports but cant find any in my area for my age (im far too old lol) so I try and find things at home to do ie when im doing the housework or stuff in the garden I do it dramaticlly, like really long lunges with the hoover, ir even pop on some music and have a shimmy around the room with the duster.
    It all adds up.

Apart from the trampette, your message could have been written by me! Especially the dramatic housework - stick some music on and get moving! Good to see it's not just lazy old me that doesn't do the gym!

I'm coming towards 5 stone lost and I'm not saggy, just soft, where I'm used to having a mass of fat. My skin is quite soft and smooth but slowly shringking along with the rest of me!
