    Hi there,

I wonder if anyone can help.

Despite carefully planning my week's meals in advance, I not only seem to have added extra syns each day so far this week (which will really catch up with me later on when I have a big weekend), but today I have gone abit off plan and I'm not sure if I can rescue it.

I had planned a green day with Fish as my 2 HEB's for dinner, instead this is what has happened:

B: 1/2 scan bran cake (HEB) (not planned), muller, apple
    S: Banana
L: Baked bean lasagne (cheese - HEA), muller
This is where i've really gone off course (although I'm pretty sure it could be worse)
S: Special K bar & chocolate rice Krispie cake
Planned for dins: Potaotes, spinach & leaves, salmon (2 x HEBs) with garlic n soy sauce
Had planned on keeping syns to a minimum today to save for wine and Pimms later in the week.

Is there anyway I can rescue this? Or failing that, can anyone help with the syn values of the special K and rice krispie cake?

    Thanks!

I think you should be able to do extra easy with what you have had today. You would need to cound the Special K Bar and the Cholocate rice Krispie cake as syns though and the garlic and soy sauce. Special K bar is 5 or 6 not sure about the rest i'm afraid. But yes you most probably can rescue today.

I stayed the same this week at WI, so really pleased with that after 2 meals out & a chinese take away at weekend.

Can anyone let me know the syns for a packet of caramel snak a jaks or the popcorn version? Going to cinema at weekend & thought I'd take something like this with me.

I think there was something on this thread a few pages ago that might answer this....

....they don't defrost to the same texture though ending up more like a runny semolina. So don't buy in bulk to freeze them if you plan to defrost them. In this state they are also less filling, a double blow.

Harriets_Mum - yes you can freeze Muller Lights (some people eat them as ice-cream once frozen) but I don't know how well they defrost!

You've solved a problem for me - we're hosting a breakfast meeting next week and trying to do it cheaply - the half size Mullers will be perfect, thanks!

It's my first day on Slimming World today, was pleased to see this thread.

    So far I've had:
Special K & Skimmed milk (think this is an A and a B, although the Special K should really be Sustain type, which I will buy now I've eaten up the old stuff)

    Strawberries and grapes

1/4 piece of toast with margarine and jam (my son's leftovers, will have to learn to throw them straight in the bin) 1.5 Syns?

1 piece of mushroom pizza (weighed it and was about 100g) 12 Syns !

    And I'm cooking for tea:
    Quorn sausages
    Jacket potatoes
    Brocolli
    Carrots
    Gravy (1 Syn)
    Mustard (1 Syn?)

So that makes 15.5 syns, not a great start, but the pizza was sitting there asking to be eaten up!

Seem to be back on track. Had my weigh in tonight and have lost 1and a half pounds. I seem to do better in the summer than the winter.

Just checking in, 1.5lb loss and hit my stone :j

I had a sneaky look on the scales on Monday and had put back everything I had lost last week (after a boozy weekend) so had 2 days on red and lots of water.

Have completely blown it today with buffet lunch at work, oh well tomorrow is another day!

  • I have checked some nice treats that I can have as syns but my book is quite old so I just hoped someone could check they are right so I don't gain on Monday and wonder why :p

    On a green day;
    Orig wagon wheel 8
    Jaffa cakes 2.5
    Fig roll 3
    Choc mini roll 5.5
    Mr Kipling cherry bakewell 9.5
    23g Frazzles 5.5
23g Monster Munch (any variety) 6

Also, I got the books from my boyfriends mum from way back when she did it and there is a curry book in there so tonight I am making sweet potato curry and vegetable bhajis and a 'cool chilli dip' - looking forward to it as I normally just eat quorn sausages or jacket potatos!
