  • Well :j. Finally after 4 long weeks I have seen a 3 lb loss!! I have stuck to the plan religiously, but I think the thyroid has made it really difficult. My OH has eaten the exact same food as I have and if anything, more syns than me and he has lost an amazing 1st 2lbs......now, how unfair is that? But, hey ho....3lbs better than nothing I guess.

starjumper - try posting your daily menu's/snacks & drinks on here every day and we'll check it for you (I mean EVERYTHING that goes into your mouth  ). Are you drinking enough water? Eating enough speed foods? Varying your diet enough? We all get into a rut with yoghurts/quorn/pasta etc

    C xx

Hi Skint - my typical day would be...

    (This is today)
B - yoghurt and raspberries or strawberries
L - Jacket spud, cheese (HEA) and salad
D - SW spag bol (quorn)
Snack would be toast and humous (both HEB) and fruit (try and eat speed or ss fruit where I can)

    Yesterday
    B- yoghurt and fruit
L - Jacket spud cheese (HEA) and salad - yes I know, spud again but this is a rarity, no time to make lunch and this is the best thing on offer from the cafe, usually, religiously make lunch.
D - Chips (3 syns), Veggie burger (1 syn) and beans
Snacks/syns - coffee, alpen bars HEB and cheese (on burgers) HEB, fruit

Drink LOTS of water, maybe 4 big glasses through the day, plus a can of diet coke, several plain green teas and in the evenings generally pints (and pints -had 4 of the !!!!!!s last night) of water with a wedge of lemon in it.

I've been trying to limit my syns a bit but not too much, just want to get them under control so syn wise I'll maybe have a mini milk 1.5 syns, or syn a cup of coffee or two like I did yesterday, the occasional vodka and diet coke, I try to have between 5-10 syns per day in the week so I can have a chinese or a drink at the weekend. I do like ketchup and salad cream so they often go as syns if I'm having something that needs perking up.

I exercise quite a lot, but am too overweight to have got the the point where I can blame the slow down (or gentle crawl) on muscle rather than fat. I have a desk job in a hospital so I try and walk the corridors at least once an hour to at least get me moving and give me a break from my desk (rather than for calorie burning potential).

Also I'm veggie and can be very fussy about what I eat. I do feel like I've been sticking to plan and have made seriosu efforts these last few months to drink more water etc and cut down on the booze and eating of crap, I feel like I should be doing so much better than I actually am. Boo.

    Hi all,

Getting a little nervous about wi tonight, i have sts the last 2 weeks which is ok and is better than putting on. Although i haven't stuck to it religiously 100% i have certainally eaten less than i have done before i started SW 7 weeks ago.
I had a bit of a pig out over the weekend after buying mini daims from IKEA and finding they are 1.5 sysn per one!
I cheated and got on the scales at work to see if i put on, but it says i've lost 8lb's however i have a feeling that is wrong, my friend got on them and she said there were about 7 lbs out, so hopefully that means i might have lost a lb.
I am really good in the week, as i am at work but as soon as it is the weekend it all goes wrong.

Ive been back on SW 100% this week and have lost 3 1/2 lbs in my first week back. Im trying to make loads of new recipes out of the mags to keep me interested. I set a mini target of 8lbs by 4th July (my cousins wedding) I then have another target of 1 stone loss by 1st Aug (friends wedding in Prague). I then have my sisters wedding in September so would love to be back at target by then. I took a picture of myself last week before i started. I looked gross, so I have that as my screensaver on my phone to remind me.

Hey starjumper - well can't see anything wrong with what you're eating! It's possible (only possible!) you're not eating quite enough - maybe incorporate some snacks through the day to keep that metabolism going (I always used to nibble Babybels for my HEa!) - try something different everyday.
If you're going to a class maybe talk to your consultant? Sorry couldn't have been more help - you seem to be doing everything right!

Well done to everyone whos loosing, it seems we've all been kicked into action! I managed to loose 2.5lbs this week and I have no idea how as it was my birthday and I was quite bad.... but as I said to my consultant I was good bad, if that makes sense, didn't choose the worst hing on the menu, somewhere in the middle. I too am a bit stuck with breakie, I always seem to have either a HiFi or 2 alpen lights, as I never have the time to make anything. Does anyone have suggestions for something easy to make, or something I can make the night before. I also bought the 100 sauces and 100 comfort foods last night so I'm planning to try to meal plan over tonight and tomorrow night and then go shopping on fri eve.

I'm planning fruit salad for lunch and a risotto for supper.
