Somewhere Im sure an Actifry was mentioned and the syns but cant find it.
Anyone use one with Frylite? or how many syns with oil please.
OH wants 'real' chips so thinking it would be a compromise.

The Actifry machine is the best thing ever (along with a Nicer Dicer to cut the chips in no time) it uses one tablespoon of oil and I pack it full to the top although there is a fill line on it but I ignore this because the chips are so fab, it makes plenty for four people this way. Only problem is that you need to keep popping some stray chips back in if you fill it full, a bit of a hassle but well worth it. I used frylight yesterday as I was only doing the chips for me and therefore wasn't sharing out the syns from the oil, it worked well and will use it again but the oil does work best. Just make sure you dry the chips in a towel but I don't dry each individual chip and pat with a paper towel as the instruction book suggests, I just pat them all together in a real towel. Expensive to buy in the first place but well worth it. Enjoy!!0 -

Oops sorry forgot to say that a tablespoon of olive oil is 6 syns or a HEB on Green Day (don't know about red or EE as I'm a vegetarian)0 -
