Weigh in this week, 3lb off, after a sts last week after a fortnight all inclusive in Egypt :j

Just a quick question, I don't drink tea or coffee but I sometimes like to have cereal, as we have skimmed milk, can I half my milk with half a cheese portion to make one healthy extra A?

Think that Consultant has previously replied to a similar question about splitting a HEB. Technically, they've been measured to be used as intended, so you shouldn't really mix half and half. (although I also do it now and again :) )

I just wanted to check, if I'm doing EE I could have milk from my HEXA and cheese from my HEXB? Just want to double check I can have 2 dairy!

EE - 1 HEA and 1 HEB, so you'd need to choose either milk or cheese :)

Some cheeses are down as a HE-B, so surely that is ok? I thought it was ANY A and B from EITHER red or green day!

thank you ,i agree it is hardest part to keep the weight off,i am still struggling with that part!!! Although my confidence has improved since the weight loss i am still very shy and could not stand in front of a room of people and talk.I do help my consultant out by taking the money and giving advice to the other members if i can.

Yes you are correct. You can have cheese as a HEb.

Morning everyone, well I think I've finally had a brain-wave! It's all about control, having that control over my food that I never used to have, so if I slip up and have a bad day (which I've had a few as it's been my bday this week) it's ok, cos I planned it, I knew I'd be bad.

What I must really do is write everything down and really seriously plan, i'm only really planning a few days at a time and and up with one or two days uncatered for. Like today, I had decided on my lunch - jacket potato with cottage cheese, but in my rush this morning forgot my breakie (2x alpen lights) and am VERY annoyed as I do not loose weight when I skip breakie. Not sure about super, am thinking quorn sausages and mash... we'll see.

I really feel like I've had a break-through, and even if I don't loose any weight this week (although I really want to shift that little half a pound for my half a stone award) then it's ok. At least I am in control. I'm not just drifting through eating so much rubbish all the time (crisps, choccy, fast-food, etc..)

I am officially going to work out exactly what I had yesterday and all the syns, to be honest I am a bit worried I'm not eating enough free foods. It's cos in the evenings I can never be bothered to prepare snacks for work the next day so I end up going hungry from about 3pm to 7 when I eat supper.

I have to say though, I am finding it expensive to eat on this 'diet', so any tricks to make cheap meals interesting and syn free, and snacks also, would be much appreciated!

Well done to all those loosing, and all those not, at least your on track now!

Sorry - yes I agree that you can choose cheese as a HEB, I thought your question was around having 1 HEB and 2 HEA. Sorry if I wasn't clear :)

ok quick question, my OH made a pasta bake last night and just want to double check the cheese if it's ok as HEA. He put in 28g parmesan, a whole Mozerella (125g) and 28g cheddar on the top. Now I don't have any of the top, so no cheddar for me. Obviously half a portion of the parmesan (3syns) and half a mozerella (62.5g - approx 9syns) now ob together that makes 2 HEA choices, can I do that? just I don't really have enough syns to syn it all!!

Here's the weights for HEA choices to help decide how best to count it
    42g of Mozzarella
    28g Parmesan

    Or syn values
28g Mozzarella 3.5 syns (so 15.5 syns for the ball)
    28g fresh Parmesan 6 syns
    :)

    Hello All,
I am thinking of doing a recipe from the SW website and it asks for bottled roasted red peppers. Does anyone know which supermarkets sell them and approx how much they are? Its the pasta pie if anyone is interested.
