Can someone PLEASSE tell me how many syns a small/treat size packet of Butterkist toffee popcorn is? :money:0

Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone had any picnic ideas for a green day? We are going to Wimbledon next week and OH wants to take cheese rolls. I'd rather save my syns for the Pimms (ooh that rhymes!) - any suggestions?
What's the deal with wraps? Are they a HEB?
If not, I think I'll skip the bread as I'm not that keen anyway.
Use a healthy B box and healthy A box to have dairylea triangle sandwiches with onion and salad, mild curry savoury rice (free), fruit like melon or grapes, muller lights0 -

Ha - thanks for the top tip! I think I'll steer clear of wraps for now then.
That chuck it all in salad might do the trick, although I guess if fruit's going in then perhaps the spring onion should stay at home?!
As for the sauces that need ff or quark, I'd be tempted to just strain some yoghurt to make it nice and thick. At the end of the day the recipe needs a thick dairy ingredient, neither ff or quark taste of anything particularly different to yog, so surely that would work? Then again I am one for looking at a recipe and seeing what I have in that's nearest to the ingredients, so maybe I'm not the best person for this!
Thanks!0 -

Gosh, well done, that's a fantastic achievement....and I don't just mean the weight you've lost, but keeping it off (the hardest part IMO).
Have you ever thought about becoming a Consultant?I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

It's my 2nd week doing SW and I STS. I followed the diet rigourlously allowing myself between 2-7 syns a day. The only thing I can think I boobed with is bread, I've got WW malted danish, just been having 2 pieces in the moring with either beans or mashed banana on top. According to the book I should have bought WW malted brown. Surely would this slight hiccup have caused this blip?
Oh, and another thing. You know fruit is supposed to be free, well I ate loads last week making myself yummy fruit salads (melon, strawberries, blueberries) and pouring a pot of muller yogurt with sprinkles, vanilla, so that should be syn free. But at what about the sugar content I must have had loads. At what point in the diet do you need to start to be aware of calories/sugar/portion control?
I can be a bit of a greedy pig and have just ate loads of free foods with very few syns. Do I need to up my syn intake at all to help speed up weight loss, I'd have thought that as it's only my 2nd week I'd have shifted some flab?
Wasn't star week either!
Your fruit salads are an excellent source of S and SS foods, so keep it up. I would try not to have too many yoghurts in a day - although they're syn free, it's not exactly the same as 'free foods' if you see what I mean.
Forget calories, sugar and portion control - these are not your concern since, if you follow the plan, it's all taken into account. You've realised that the bread is not one of those listed as a HEB, so look out for one that is in future.
There's no need to cut back on your syns at the beginning of the 'diet' (I hate calling it a diet) so you could use some to make your main meals more interesting and tasty. The soft fruits are lovely at this time of year, but you need to be taking in plenty of protein and carbs etc to keep your healthy.
Are you weighing everything that should be weighed? Drink lots of water every day (2½ litres) especially when it's warm weather.
Maybe, you're leading up to your star week? There are any number of ways that your body can hang onto some extra fluid, don't worry about it.......stick to the plan and you will lose weight, honestlyI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Thanks consultant31, I'm going to vary my diet a lot this week and try and incorporate more original days into my diet.
I forgot to mention that I eat a lot of bananas as well, a friend told me they're not so hot for speeding up weight loss so going to try apples from now on. Yes, I am drinking water but with sf squash. I'm hoping the sf square is free?Be happy, it's the greatest wealth0 -
Weigh in this week, 3lb off, after a sts last week after a fortnight all inclusive in Egypt :j
Just a quick question, I don't drink tea or coffee but I sometimes like to have cereal, as we have skimmed milk, can I half my milk with half a cheese portion to make one healthy extra A?"this money saving lark is a full time job"0 -
Morning all
STS for me last night, not surprised after my cheese binge on Sunday at a friends Birthday party.
Back on the plan 100% from this week:rolleyes:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
I just wanted to check, if I'm doing EE I could have milk from my HEXA and cheese from my HEXB? Just want to double check I can have 2 dairy!0
