pennydenim - you don't sound any different from any of the rest of us! Stick with it and we'll all get there together - love your thing about the Christmas party dress - been there done that plenty of times - including now! I'm off to Italy tomoro (where I hope OH will do the one knee thing ;) ) and keep thinking back to when I had 24 weeks or even 9 weeks to go - I could have done so much - but never mind.

    C xx

Skintcatt - I wait to hear you news then!!;) Have a great time!

Pennydenim - if you lose just a pound a week that's nearly 4 stones OFF in a year, It took me a few weeks to get my head around SW, but once I did I was fine. My weight loss was only ever 1-1.5lbs a week but it WAS consistent. Some people might lose 5 lbs one week and then put 2 lb back on the next week.

I managed to lose 2 stones in a year (several weeks I stayed the same) but I can honestly say I have never once felt deprived or hungry and I really do feel healthy. The SW mags are quite inspiring (they're in all shops/supermarkets) and their recipes are great and make you cook healthy foods which don't break the bank. Best of luck!:T
  • I was bad last night i had a a yum yum from the bakery in Sainsbury. Any idea how many syns?

For anyone who doesn't no what one is its a long iced doughnut and my weakness as well as Krispy Kreams

Pennylane - you're so right about the longer term. I had my 20th weigh in last night. STS, but I have lost 19.5 lbs and I'm very much trying to stay above the lb a week rule to reach my goal. The changes really do need to be a way a life so it's a good approach to have.

little_lil - that's fantastic! Well done, and you'll get your Club 10 in no time.... xx

emma_jane - couldn't find the syns for a sainsbury's yum yum or one on the basic foods list. Sorry. These are very popular in Scotland and they taste so good!I'm seen them in asda too :D

    tokrijo - saoda stream isn't on SW website. If you can provide the nutritional values, I can try that for you. I'd need;
Calories (either kCal per 100g or KJ per 100g),
    Protein (g per 100g)
    Fat (g per 100g)
    Carbs (g per 100g)
And the package or serving size in grams.

    :)
Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!
  • I really appreciate you looking for me. And your right they taste so good every now and again my mum buys them and i can't say no. There is no point trying.

I didn't have no syns yesterday apart from that doughnut so hopefully i will be okay. I weigh in at lunch today so see how it goes.

I had a pig out of chocolate last night, i had a duo snicker just checked the syn value and it is 25.5 syns, plus a twirl which was 11.5 syns, can't believe i ate 40 + syns yesterday.

I've also had chocolate today, but only a milkyway, and it is within my syns.

I went aqua aerobics last night, so lets hope that is enough to hopefully sts.

    hello all

I have also fallen slightly off the wagon, had toast with nutella on last night!! However it was a small amount, so i'm hoping I have enough syns for it. I am however going to the inlaws for the weekend and they don't seem to believe in things without oil or butter..... or gravy without bisto...... I think i'll just have to not drink or have any choccy or anything and then hopefully the syns will even out. I was very lucky and lost 2.5lbs last week over my bday (god knows how!!) so I'm very worried it will all catch up with me this week.

I think I need to do more exercise to help shift it. i also have a wedding to go to in October and I'd really like to get down to a size 14.... not sure how much I'd have to weight for that, I'm currently a 16 and weigh 13.4.5 or is it 13.4? hmmm something like that anyway.

    positive thoughts to you all

  • Had a look on SW site - the wagon wheels (choc or jammy), jaffa cakes, frazzles are fine, but a few that slightly differ.
