...You can both come and clean my house if you like?
PeteApart from the trampette, your message could have been written by me! Especially the dramatic housework - stick some music on and get moving! Good to see it's not just lazy old me that doesn't do the gym!
I'm coming towards 5 stone lost and I'm not saggy, just soft, where I'm used to having a mass of fat. My skin is quite soft and smooth but slowly shringking along with the rest of me!Feb 09 108kg, Mar 09 103kg, Apr 09 98kg, May 09 93kg, Jun 09 92kg, Jul 09 90kg, Dec 09 101kg (Doh)0 -
Hey Penny, i'm in the same boat, on the diet but stuck. Funny thing I ate a chinese the other day, got half way through and decided I couldn't eat any more stodge. I never thought that would happen. Then, after that weekend I had lost some weight. Barking mad!
PeteHello SW people.:D Haven't looked at this thread for a while but some people might remember me. I did SW for a year and lost 2 stones. I stopped going earlier in the year (because I hadn't lost any weight for MONTHS). Since I left I have been following the plan myself and have had 2 holidays and haven't gained or lost, which I'm pleased about. I need to lose another 1.5-2 stones but I just can't lose an ounce.
I am doing loads of exercise - walking, cycling, swimming and that makes not a jot of difference!
I feel really well though and can honestly say I have re-educated myself regarding healthy eating. On hol my DH was swooning about this chocolate dessert and I tried just the weeniest slice. I am not kidding - I was very nearly sick! I have not eaten chocolate for so long and this was so RICH! I had to dispose of it and drink a big glass of water.:cool:Feb 09 108kg, Mar 09 103kg, Apr 09 98kg, May 09 93kg, Jun 09 92kg, Jul 09 90kg, Dec 09 101kg (Doh)0 -

Skint_Catt wrote: »pennydenim - you don't sound any different from any of the rest of us! Stick with it and we'll all get there together - love your thing about the Christmas party dress - been there done that plenty of times - including now! I'm off to Italy tomoro (where I hope OH will do the one knee thing
) and keep thinking back to when I had 24 weeks or even 9 weeks to go - I could have done so much - but never mind.

Thank you so much for your message. Really cheered me up. Have a lovely Italian holiday! Hopefully by the time you arrive back in the UK I'll have worked out how this forum works (so new to this, guess I should read the manual).
Buone vacanze!

It's frustrating Pete isn't it? I cycle, walk and swim, I also do quite a bit of gardening and housework and I very seldom sit down. How much weight have you lost?0 -
Trampettes
:j:j
Are we talking about those round mini-trampoline things? If so I have one (car boot buy) standing on its side in my bike shed!!:rotfl:
I am not really sure what's the best way to use it because I didn't get any instructions with it ........ any advice welcome, thanks! Obviously I know you bounce on it.;):rotfl:
If it gets my weight moving again, I'll try anything.0 -
Skintcatt - I wait to hear you news then!!;) Have a great time!
Pennydenim - if you lose just a pound a week that's nearly 4 stones OFF in a year, It took me a few weeks to get my head around SW, but once I did I was fine. My weight loss was only ever 1-1.5lbs a week but it WAS consistent. Some people might lose 5 lbs one week and then put 2 lb back on the next week.
I managed to lose 2 stones in a year (several weeks I stayed the same) but I can honestly say I have never once felt deprived or hungry and I really do feel healthy. The SW mags are quite inspiring (they're in all shops/supermarkets) and their recipes are great and make you cook healthy foods which don't break the bank. Best of luck!:T
You're message was very inspirational.... I've got a feeling I'm going to plateau at my home weigh in on Monday morning, but your words have made me feel so much better, even if I see the scales go up a notch!0 -

You're doing fine Pennydenim!:A
I believe that losing weight has to be a complete life-change and as long as I don't gain weight, I know I'm in control and doing things right. OK, it might take me a couple of years to lose my excess weight but if that's the case, then so be it.
I have too many friends who have yo-yo dieted for years and that must be so frustrating and I think it's a waste of time and effort. I know the foods which made me fat and I know the foods which gave me terrible indigestion, made me feel lethargic and listless and so on. I avoid them now and feel so much better.
Don't worry if you plateau from time to time, just coast along and enjoy feeling healthy. I also only weigh myself every 7-10 days.
Have a nice weekend.:D0 -
Ive had mine around a year now and take notions to bring it out, but i do enjoy a wee bounce and so do the kids so have had it in my living room all week.
When I bounce on it i do star jumps, then i jump and do forward and backwards steps, as if skiing (sort of), I also do twists from the waist only turning the top half of my body arms held up at chest height. But just simply bouncing for 5 mins really tones the calves, thighs and bum. I found all this online when I googled it ages ago. If anyone can think of anything else to do id also appreciate some tips.
When I mentioned all the different types of excercise I do I forgot to say I wear my Fitflops everyday in the summer. they are really comfy for long walks to. Id previously thought they did nothing but Ive really started to notice my calves have more definition. This could be other things, but ive been wearing them constantly (yes in the house too) for the last month. I also feel at the end of the day my legs ache slightly as if id been excercising.Trampettes:j:j

hi,I am new to this thread and have been Body Optimising for a year now. We don't have SW groups near here so I joined online instead. I managed to lose my first stone easily but have started to gain so I am trying to be careful to Bodyoptimise exactly as it should be done. I was 12st 9lb three weeks ago !!
I have a question about HEB. I often have porridge but don't have the oat/scan bran. I have discovered today by searching on MSE that I should have the oat/scan bran too to make it a healthy extra. I can't easily get my hands on a scan bran so have been putting about 10g of oat bran on my porridge or muesli. Do think that that is an acceptable alternative?business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
