The spray oil in the silver bottle is free too and much better you can get at Ald1 and Nett0 for 99p
Lost another 2lb this week despite a huge chocolate binge on monday after a bad day (multipack of 20 tesco fun bars.....)
had a taster today and i made some turkey kebabs with this marinade based loosely on a recip from the one pot cooking book everybody really liked it (even our unadventurous oldies)
Yoghurt marinade
250ml fat free natural yoghurt
2 tablespoons of curry powder
Teaspoon of grated fresh ginger
The seeds from 10 cardamom pods (crushed in a pestle and mortar)
Half a teaspoon ground black pepper
- Mix all the ingredients together then use to marinade turkey or chicken for a few hours before grilling until cooked through.

Thanks cleosmum. This is great news. I used to have this regularly for lunch as I could get it in Lidl. I just assumed that it would be a no go on SW. Its about 2 quid a can but does two meals.
Problem solved
PetePeteyboy, hope this helps!

I've heard of them but don't know how to make them.
I can have egg and chips then!
Maris pipers are the best to use.
Peel and chop into chips. Either par-boil (not too much otherwise they fall apart) or nuke for 6 mins before putting onto a baking tray.
Either use 1/2 HEb's on olive oil (or syn it) or use frylight to spray all over and bung into oven. My oven's carp so it take a good hour on Gas9 to cook, but others have said it just takes 20mins.
Hey presto (if using frylight) syn free chips!!!!

I don't parboil them - if I'm pushed for time it's a pain in the bum.
I just peel and cut the spuds, spread on the baking tray, spray with frylight and grind a little sea salt on them, bung in the oven at about 190c for 45 minutes-ish or until they look and feel cooked. Depends on how thick/thin you want. Sometimes, they may need additional spray half way through depending on the potatoes (if they dry out a bit!)0 -

Its never been mentioned at class so don't think anyone else is working on it. I could really do with boosting my weightloss and hopefully keep me motivated.
Do you get actual awards in class (like stickers/certificates)? Or is it just somethng you do for your own records? I don't understand how to work towards the bronze award - what do I have to do?
I've just been treated to a wiifit and I read on the sw website I can use that to go towards body magic awards but again not sure how. I went on it last night for 45 mins and did a combo of yoga, muscle exercises, balance and aerobic (inc 2 x 3min jogs) - how would that work? Also when I walk the school run it is about 20mins each way up and down a big hill - not sure how far it actually is but I have a pram, walking 2yo and 5yo so am limited to how fast I can actually walk.
Any help appreciated - thanks
If you have the blue Body Magic Book it is explained in there (page 15), but I admit, the explanation gets lost among the other stuff.
To work towards your bronze award (a sticker) you have to do 15 mins on 3 days of the week. Maintain this for 4 weeks.
For the silver award build that up till you're doing at least 15 mins on 6 days a week (or 30 mins on 3 days). Maintain this for 4 weeks.
For the gold award build up to 10 sessions of 15 mins (or 5 x 30 mins) and maintain for 8 weeks.
For the platinum you need to have made excercise an integral part of your lifestyle.
The awards are given to you when you tell your Consultant that you have maintained a specific standard for the requisite number of weeks. It's all on trust - no proof necessary.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
I had my WI this morn (I usually do it in the eve, but didn't want my OH to be there to step on scales again!) & I lost a fabulous 3lb! I'm really chuffed because we went for a very boozy night out on saturday. I've done more green days this week with a few red & I'm still keeping up my jog/walking.
I can't remember who posted about the couscous breakfast, but I had it this morning with a vanilla muller & banana & it was yum!
Another tip for making the chips is to open your oven door a couple of times during cooking to let out the steam, this should make your chips crispier (according to my consultant when I used to go to class).
I've got 2 meals out this weekend so don't expect such a good result next week, just hope to stay the same.0 -
An excellent 3lb clarabell, well done!!0
