Ooh haven't seen the minted peppered steaks! Must look out for them. Doing them with SW chips instead of mash. been out shooting and starving now so hope it's ready soon!
How do you make the chips then, are these the syn free ones?
I've heard of them but don't know how to make them.
I can have egg and chips then!Be happy, it's the greatest wealth0 -
Morning all - I have been lax at posting, and had a bit of a gain last week (1.25lb). mainly because we went away for the weekend, and although I didn't go really mad, little lapses here and there seemed to add up.
I'm VERY PLEASED to say that I lost 3lb this week to make up for it - and have now lost EXACTLY 2 STONE!!!
Yay for Extra Easy0 -
Very well done Cuffey!0

Can anyone explain to me how body magic works? I've read the booklet and asked my consultant (who just showed me the sheet you fill in) and am still none the wiser
Its never been mentioned at class so don't think anyone else is working on it. I could really do with boosting my weightloss and hopefully keep me motivated.
Do you get actual awards in class (like stickers/certificates)? Or is it just somethng you do for your own records? I don't understand how to work towards the bronze award - what do I have to do?
I've just been treated to a wiifit and I read on the sw website I can use that to go towards body magic awards but again not sure how. I went on it last night for 45 mins and did a combo of yoga, muscle exercises, balance and aerobic (inc 2 x 3min jogs) - how would that work? Also when I walk the school run it is about 20mins each way up and down a big hill - not sure how far it actually is but I have a pram, walking 2yo and 5yo so am limited to how fast I can actually walk.
Any help appreciated - thanksMum of 7 (aged 14y to 1y)

well done all the losers
and chin up everyone who's struggling
Since I last updated on here I got my 2 stone award and was slimmer of the month for MayUnfortunatley I had a very bad week last week and put on 1/2lb (my 1st gain - glad it wasn't worse)
I'm doing the EE menu plan from the latest magazine this week in the hope of giving a good weight loss and keeping me motivated - was getting fed up eating the same food all the time so am stepping out of my comfort zone. So far so good - third day today - its nice having the decision made for what to eat at each meal. Will report back how I get on at weigh in on Mon, its the first time I've followed a set menu and a full week of EE
Hope we all have a good week this weekMum of 7 (aged 14y to 1y)

Hi all
I've been lurking for a while but have finally made the decision to come back to slimming world. I just wanted to say I've been reading all your posts and they are inspirational and very informative - thank you all!
I've been overweight (between a little and more than enough) for years and I first did SW in 1991 when they only had the Original option - god that seems like a lifetime ago! I did it once again in 1999 very successfully then went and met my husband who seduced me back to the dark side of food. After taking part in what would seem was a mammoth eating competition with the hubby for a few years and undoing all my good work, I've rejoined SW a couple of times over the last 9 years - with varying success (I recognise as all my own fault I might add).
So, it's time to do this once and for all - and for me. I've had a cr*p couple of years where I've been ill with a chronic bowel disease (came on after I lost my mum 2 years ago) and my sister passed away suddenly earlier this year. My diet has been shocking and under normal circumstances I guess I would be enormous now.
Sorry for the outpouring but now I've decided to go back, I'm really quite excited. Weigh in isn't till next Tues (I couldn't go last night). I've got my old books out but I guess things have changed slightly since then. And finally, Extra Easy, from what I've read on here - it looks too good to be true - tell me it's wonderful and it works!!

Looking at it I am wondering if I am eating too much bread?
2 syns for crusha strawberry milk shake.
You could try cutting back on the bread, also try having cereal and add loads of speed foods to it, like weetabix with mixed berries on top, or HE of bran flakes, syn free natural yog and berries. I found that cutting bread out gave me a better loss, since getting to target I have found that I can eat nimble fine, but if I swap to warburtons 400g loaf then I suffer. Have you thought about using fry light instead of oil on your SW chips?0 -
The Crusha is No Added Sugar and is free (has 7kcal per 100ml of syrup and I only use 25ml in my milkshake so only have 2kcal in)
I do usually vary my breakfast between toast, poached egg on toast, cheese omlette, 42g Crunchy Bran, Weetabix, Porridge and 28g Aldi Sugar Wheat Puffs
I just havent got any of those in and we go on holiday soon so didnt want to buy them till I got back lol
I dont like any fruit on my cereal lol cos I do eat fruit by itself throughout the day.
I do eat yogurt and fruit (but I put a meringue in for 2.5 syns as well)
I have used fry light and I dont like it, I make my chips this way, I peel and cut the potatoes into chips, I put them in a freezer bag, pour 1 tsp oil in the bag mix the chips around, put them on the tray spray with fry light then sprinkle with mixed herbs and I love them that way, and my oil is only 2 syns so I dont see the need to cut that out if I enjoy it? (sometimes I mix the chips with a tsp of marmite as well)Debt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)
