Doing a bit of digging... a WW oval pizza is 3.5 points or 8 syns... so I'm thinking if a PE pizza is 7.5 points, it must work out around the 18 syns mark... minus 6 syns if you count the cheese as a HE? So 12 syns. Is that logical? My brain hurts....
I keep seeing "minus x syns if you count *** as a HE" and you know, I don't really think that's following the plan.
In order for something to be counted as a HE, Slimming World put a great deal of thought into how much of the product is necessary to perform the function it's intended for (eg: the amount of fibre necessary in a HEB...which is why there's often a Ryvita or something added to the basic item).
It's fine as long as you're still losing weight I suppose, but in order to maximise your weight loss and the health benefits, you shouldn't really be tweaking the plans.
If you "minus 6 syns and count the cheese as a HE" you don't know how much cheese is on top of the pizza, so how will you know if you're following the plan. Much better to syn it as it stands and have a proper amount of HE as well.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Make sure you pick up the right one.........it has to be the 0% or it will be synned.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Have had a fairly good weekend and determined to have a good week this week. So plan is:
B. marions rice with natural yougurt and stewed blueberries (YUM!)
L. jacket potato with cottage cheese, hardboiled egg and tomato
D. Griddled herby chicken with roasted veg/potatoes (done in fry light) and brocolli
snacks - fruit, yogurt or small bowl HM veg soup
HEA - milk for tea/coffee
HEB - slice WM bread to go with soup
Syns - might try not to if I'm not hungry. Is that a good or bad idea - sounds a stupid question on the face of it I admit but not sure exactly on the rules for this. Do any of you carry them over occasionally? Is it best to have a few syns a day to keep metabolism up? Sorry for the questions but don't want to get it all wrong!!
Thanks0 -
Morning Ladies (I don't think there are any men here are there? If there are then Good morning to you too!!)
I had a lovely birthday yesterday and was thoroughly spoiled which was nice.
We went for a meal to Pizza Express on Saturday evening with the girls and I chose a salad - think it was called the Nostrada (sp) which was really nice, I didn't intend to eat the bread strips but did in the end and also had an ice cream glory for dessert (hmmmmmmmmm - how many syns in that I wonder??) so was a bit naughty but was on the plan ( I think) yesterday so am not going to stress about it.
Yesterday I had
B-Marion's rice with banana muller and chopped banana
L-Jacket potato with Egg Mayo using a tbs of Hellmans Light
D- Salmon with tagliatelle and blue dragon chilli dipping sauce, (2 syns - 2 tbs) s/free jelly and mullerlight
HEB x2 - salmon
HEA - milk in tea/coffee
Syns - 2 for sauce, 1 for jelly, 2.5 gin and slimline tonic
Was working on a green day - does this look OK?
Plan for today - EE
B- Fruit and Mullerlight
L- Butternut squash soup, slimming world quiche with bacon, mushrooms, sweetcorn and potato.
D- Lamb chops with jacket potato, broccoli, cabbage
HEa - milk in tea/coffee
HEb - not decided yet!
Hope everyone has a good day

I saw some Weight Watchers Pitta Breads in the supermarket today - marked as high fibre.
Does anybody know if these may be classed as a HE (as they are 4.1g fibre per pitta) They work out to 5syns each.0
