Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone else has come to the realisation about losing weight with SW and getting out of debt. Of course it could just be the weird way my head works.
Basically, I was thinking about it today and realised:
1 The biggest step is to admit to the problem
2 The next biggest step is to do something about it
3 Realise that if you have a 'wobbly' day and fall off the 'plan' all is not lost, it's one day out of 7. Get straight back on the next day and all is good.
4 Be able to see the figures going down every week/month and be spurred on to do the same or better the following week/month
5 And this is my biggest realisation --> It's not a diet just to get to a goal, just the same as it's not 'saving' money just to get out of debt. It's all about changing your lifestyle to something that will keep you doing this long after you have reached your target.
Obviously with money, once you've reached your target (debts cleared) the best thing is to keep going and putting that money away, whereas to reach target and then keep losing weight would be bad. As far as I can see that's the only difference.
Sorry, when I have realisations like this I need to share them and I hope someone on here understands how my head is working on this one

Does anyone know of any tinned cold meat that is free on a red day? Obviously Chopped ham and pork etc is too fatty but i'm looking for meat that can be eaten straight out of the tin. Tuna is great but I am bored of fish! Needs to be in a tin for longetivity and flexibility.
Thanks

I often get a tin of mackeral in tomato sauce and eat that straight from the can on a red day
Found this on sw:

Hi all!
Sorry to gatecrash but I volunteered to make a dessert to take to dinner at a friends who is at SW. I wanted to make something that she can eat without too much worry, does anyone have any good dessert suggestions/recipes for me (she will be on a green day).
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Cleosmum, what i think this is telling us is that if one could find lean tinned ham it would be free but I think there in lies the problem. The search continues :-)

If I were you Tamazapan I'd leave the vending machines alone and just try and drink water or squash, much better for you than powered milk. I don't know how many sins they are, but I think it is quite a fatty additive.
hthBe happy, it's the greatest wealth0 -
EEKK ok its trying to get out off having the cappucinos as i do 12 hr shifts and thats the strongest coffe lol!!
Maybe ill have to buy a jar off coffe and do it with skimmed milk:kisses2:to find a rainbow you must go through the rainto find true love you must go through the pain0 -

Hi Tamazapan, when I started SW I realised just how many skinny lattes I was having a day - you go way way over your milk allowance. It made me decide that they were a gonner. I now drink only americano whites (with skinny milk obviously). Just that one thing alone got me on the right track and I'm still getting my much needed coffee at work. It takes a while to get used to not having a lovely frothy latte but think about how much weight you'll get off and it'll be the incentive you need. I now don't even have lattes when I go out for dinner - americanos all the way for me
Hope this helps a bit. Lattes are definately not the way to go when you're on the SW plan.
