WI today, lost 1.5lb which is better than last week despite me doing less exercise !? Maybe if I spend the week in bed I'd lose 3lb next week!
Hope everyone's doing well, catch you laterSlimming World convert, joined 23rd April 2009

WI last night & I stayed the same. My OH has been dieting with me. Not really doing the plan just having same evening meal & he lost 4lb.
He thought it was really funny when we got weighed to put his foot on the scales while I was on! I didn't realise & thought I'd put on 1/2 a stone! I on the other hand was not amused. In fact after he said what he'd done & I got re-weighed & had stayed the same I felt like bursting into tears!
Apart from Saturday when I went out for meal & drinks, I stuck to it 100%. I've even been going jogging most nights, so expected to loose something. I've done a lot of extra easy days & I'm wondering if it just doesn't suit me. Might go back to red & green days & see how I get on.0 -
Went to wi on Tuesday and sts, bit disappointing but its better than putting on.
I find my problem is that i don't write anything down, so forget what i have eaten.
I am going to try and make an effort this week to do my food diary.
I also find it hard to give something a syn value unless i have got the recipie or box etc
For instance today i have chicken tikka massala at work, it is all made from scratch, but without getting the recipie from the chef how do i syn it.
I am doing EE today so the rice and chicken would be free but what about the sauce.
Also when i have food off the salad bar, how to measure 28g of cheese for instance?
Any advice would be most appreciated.Started slimming world 4th November 2010

Smegs, I could never work out all them syns. When I know I'm going to eat in work I prepare a box the night before with loads of syn free food and fill up with that.
That's the only way I can keep tab of my syns, it's so easy to underestimate them!Be happy, it's the greatest wealth0 -
Hi......waves....:hello:
Please can I join?? I really need to shift some pounds. Started SW on Monday so its Day 4 and doing ok. Mainly doing Green days as Im not a big meat eater but getting a bit bored of that at the mo. What kind of breakfast are you guys having esp. if you haven't much time in the morn???
BTW I want to loose two stone. Hopefully that will get me down to a size 12. I would ideally like to loose 1 stone by the end of August so thats about 9 or 10 weeks away and could be achieved. Erm thats it I think.

I like couscous for breakfast. Put 4 or 5 tablespoons plain couscous in a bowl and cover with boiling water. Put a plate over the bowl for 5 mins or so until all the water has been absorbed into the couscous. Fluff up with a fork. Chop some fresh fruit on top and then pour over a matching flavour of Mullerlight (or other syn free yoghurt). This is totally syn free on a green day (or extra easy) and keeps me full for a good 4 hours. Very quick and easy - takes longer to eat than it does to prepare
BradnJanet - healthy extras can't be hung over from one day to the next. They are important to your health and well-being so please have them every day.
Clarabel - are you having plenty of superspeed foods with your EE plan? It's recommended that a third of your plate is SS foods (salad veg etc). I'm sure with all your excercise you will be losing inches, so stick to plan and you'll see the pounds come off as well.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0
