I think the liquid oxo stock is free but am not sure - does anyone know?

Yes, thank you, but I wanted the real stuff - you know how it is
Also, just so you know, the Reduced fat egg mayo filler in Adsa is also syn free, as was the tesco's one, but I believe that has been discontinued now0 -

Anyway - some of your menus sound lovely! I loved Marion's rice cold and am thinking of making it for tomorrow for after lunch - the kids have got profiteroles:mad:
!
I once went to the bother of working M&S profiteroles out, and they came to 3 syns each (which included a sensible share of the choc sauce). If you can stop at one (or two) then why not count them as syns and enjoy :T0 -
Just caught up on this new thread, you can buy Vecon at Holland & Barrett.
I stayed the same this week, so still 7.5lbs total loss in 5 weeks. I have my bladder op on Tuesday so trying to take it easy until then. I have been out for a meal today with friends, and off out tomorrow with my Mom, so back to SW diet on Monday. I just hope when I go back I will have at least stayed the same.:hello:0 -

Thanks for that! grrrr - that means that the whole thing was 4 syns cos I used 4tbs as it didn't seem to give as much taste as the cubes. Mind you it made soooooo much because I put loads of veg in it that I could only manage a fifth of it and froze the other 4 portions! I am really full up now and I haven't had any afters yet, plus my stomach is making weird growling noises after all the veg!Jane

rhiannon1234 wrote: »I think extra easy is brill! But I am now getting a bit stuck in a rut, and after more red day recipes if anyone can help. Or recipes using Quark also, as everyone says buy Quark when on SW, but I can't seem to find many recipes
Quark
Quark is a very low fat soft cheese, generally found near the cottage cheese in larger supermarkets. It is very bland in taste and texture and therefore can be used as a creamy base for lots of dishes:-
…………………………………………………………………………………..
Add very low fat fromage frais to quark with some herbs & garlic to make a lovely dip.
Add garlic puree (you don’t need very much) to a tub of quark mix together and keep in the fridge to add to almost anything! Try dipping slimming world chips into it or use as a topping for jacket potatoes.
Mix with a tin of tuna, spring onion, red pepper and a tsp of paprika for a sandwich filling or jacket potato topping.
Mix salmon with a tub of quark place on a bed of rocket leaves and top with asparagus and black pepper. (Lovely as a starter)
Mix quark with cooked leeks, mushrooms, fat free fromage frais or yoghurt and stir through pasta. It makes a really nice creamy sauce.
Quark is a good alternative to cottage cheese when making quiche, just whisk it into the eggs and pour over the base mixture.
Make a sugar free jelly up as the packet says and set aside to cool (2 sins). Mix a matching flavoured Muller light with a pot of quark. Carefully stir in jelly and allow to set in the fridge over night.
Mix equal parts quark and Mullerlight (any flavour). Add a little sweetener and put into ice cream maker - delicious!
Add sweetener, mix well and use as a free topping on fruit.
Mix a tub of quark with sweetener and 2 chocolate options (4 syns)
Mix Quark with a couple of teaspoons of lemon curd (½ syn per level teaspoon), add a crushed, small meringue nest (about 3 syns) and it makes a fab lemon meringue pudding.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Your 'star' week (as marked on your weight record sheet by the Consultant) is the week of your period. In some women it can account for up to 4lbs of retained fluid :eek:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

So when you actually have it as opposed to just before it being due to arrive?
Just to confirm...
Are you ment to tell the consultant wen it is your star week? I never have.0
