    Hi everyone

    HELP HELP HELP

have lost all motivation - and am drowning in a sea of marmite toast and rich tea biscuits.

I am about 4 stone lighter than this time three years ago - but 1 more stone needs to go to get me to a 'healthy' weight and bmi. I have stayed about the same for a year and a half now - and I feel so much better than I did (and look a lot better too!) but maybe thats the problem. There's no urgent need keeping me on the plan 100%.

    Wise words anyone??

    Dear Rupe,
Try not to get disheartened. The biscuits are not going to make you feel better though.
Are you still going to class, or are you doing it by yourself?

4 stone loss is amazing. (And you have kept it off) Unlike myself for instance who managed to put all my hard work to waste so am back on the merry-go-round again.

I'm sure there are other posters who have got a bit stuck who might have some tips for you.

My first week has gone well. 5.5lbs. Am very pleased, and if I can make it through the week, (a woman with no willpower whatsover,) then someone who has done as well as yourself must be able to dig deep inside and find up a little more enthisiasm to get you back on track again.
Its actually people like yourself who have helped me get started and inspired me to get back on track again. Now if only I can keep it up for the next couple of years.
    Keep the chin up x

The more I read on here the more excited I get about starting SW!!! I think though, I am going to be naughty and only go to the first meeting to get my pack - 2 main reasons are: 1) the meetings by where I live start at 6:15 but I don’t finish work until 5:30 and I don’t drive (Im already leaving work early 1st June and cant see boss letting it be a regular occurance!) and 2) Im not going to be able to afford to go every week.

One of my friends is going to come with me and do the same so we will be able to 'buddy' each other

Rupe - chin up. Why not buy the magazine for some inspiration? I find I do well if I follow the week's eating plan to the letter and it gives me a bit of a boost.

If you're going to class and have got stuck you might want to ask your consultant about Fast Forward. It's a much stricter version of the plan and you'll need to be given a special leaflet to explain what it is and how you do it (it's different for everyone based on their metabolism/weight). Your consultant will be the one to decide whether or not you are suitable though, they don't give it out lightly. I can lose 3/4lb in a week on FF, but average 0.5/1lb on a normal week.

I also find a browse through some SW cook books or old mags to try some new recipes helps keep my interest as you can get stuck in a rut eating the same old stuff.

Finally, write it down! You'd be surprised how much you 'forget' that you eat. Writing it down means you aren't tricking yourself and can see where/if you're going wrong. Don't lose hope. You've done amazingly well to get this far and you will get further if you want it enough.

Mel - do you know what the 'rules' are about SW after having a baby? I think it'll take me longer than 6 wks to lose my weight (although I'm aiming to stay within the 2st I'm allowed). My consultant was going to find out, but now I've got shingles I won't be able to go for quite a while as I also take Imogen and she might have chicken pox!

I know exactly where you're coming from! I thought I'd list a few things that have been suggested to me when I've hit a stumbling block (or two!)
Look at 'before' pictures of yourself to remind yourself how far you've come and what you don't want to go back to, thers nothing wrong with giving yourself a pat on the back!
Go back to basics, write everything down, double check syn values, weigh HE's.It's surprising how even when we think we're doing it 100%, how easily we make mistakes.
Accept you're human and will have slips along the way, there's no point in beating yourself up over it, whats done is done.
Up the fluid intake, think of it as putting oil in an engine! It will run, just about, without it but it will run an awful lot better with it being topped up regularly.
Try not to set yourself impossible targets, such as lose half a stone by the weekend. You're only going to set yourself up for failure.
Switch things around, try having more red days if you mainly do green or visa versa.
Give yourself realistic mini targets such as an outfit you'd like to get into by, for example, a summer wedding.
If your stuck in a rut, menuwise, plan a weeks menu of totally different foods, to shake things up a bit.
After losing so much weight, try something on when you were at your heaviest, I'm sure it'll bring home to you your achievements so far.
Try something new daily e.g a fruit or veg you wouldn't normally have.
Post your menu plans on this forum, there's always someone around to give an opinion etc
Up the exercise or try a different type of exercise instead.
Look in a mirror and admire your achievements, not something I'm comfortable with yet but after years of avoiding mirrors at all costs we've got to learn to like the way we look!

Well done on everything you've achieved so far, you must be feeling tons better, I know I am. Keep your chin up and keep going this last bit will be the hardest, at least thats what I'm finding, however it will be worth it, and you can do it, you just need to remind yourself from time to time!
I'll shut up now, but I hope some of that helps.

:TLu T and Lo Bush :T - thanks dudes!

I am going to implement the writing everything down stratgey again - it really does work well for me - and I am going to start using my exercise videos again - I tend to wait til I can get to the gymn to exercise (I actually genuinely love the gymn) but life gets in the way sometimes doesn't it.

I am also going to try on something from when I was at my biggest - have got rid of most of my old clothes - but there are one or two things lurking in the wardrobe. Good idea.

Appreciate you all taking time to support me x

Rupe - Well done for maintaining your weightloss for so long, that is a brilliant acheivement:D I don't have anything different to add, but I know how you feel.....I lost 2.5st and the amount of compliments I got was unreal, it tricked me into thinking I had done it!! Yet in reality I had another few stone to lose, I have decided not to listen to anyone this time and focus on my own target:)

Lu - I can't remember any exact rules.....you can join SW straight aftr having a baby, if you are bottle feeding then you follow the plan as normal. If you are breastfeeding you are allowed one/two extra HEa's depending on age of baby etc.... Consultant31 posted up the allowances a while ago (sorry can't find them) maybe she will repost them when she sees your message.

Dini - Well done on your fantastic first week:T

AND a big welcome to any newcomers:D

I have done fine so far today:
    Extra Easy - HEa=milk HEb=(not sure yet)

Brekkie - scrambled egg and beans (free)
    snack - mugshot(free)

    will be having:

Lunch - jacket potato and beans (free)
    Dinner - (not sure yet)

    Hi Everyone

I started back on the slimming world plan yesterday. I would have liked to join a group again but there are none in the area that fit in around my job so I am hoping to self motivate:D

I have also booked in for an induction at my work's gym which is free for me to use.

Ideally I would like to lose 1stone.

I am right in thinking that extra easy is basically Red + Green food in any combination with only 1 HEA and 1 HEB?

How many syns can you have on the EE plan?
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
