Does anyone have a recipe for syn-free quiche WITHOUT using cottage cheese (I can't stand the stuff, even when blended)??
Well done to everyone for the fantastic losses!
Not an answer as such **BUT** can I just say - I am like you on this one -cant stand cottage cheese - even the look and smell of the stuff turns my stomach yukkkk.
However I decided to go with the quiche recipe as is and you know what - it's delicious - why not just try it - I would have thought I wouldn't be able to stomach it and when you add it tot he mix it is all lumpy and looks very unappetising **but** it tastes delicious - one of my fave things now and I make it so often - one of my faves is to add tuna and sweetcorn to it. Yummy
go on try it:cool::beer:
Hate and I do mean Hate my apple Mac Computer - wish I'd never bought the thing
Do little and often
Please stop using the word "of" when you actually mean "have" - it's damned annoying :mad:0 -

really pleased with my first meeting the focus was on real food and as a guy there had won a national award there was a bit of a party everybody brought a homemade dish along clearly marked with syns etc(if only all buffets were the same) and recipes printed for people to take home
Very much felt like a family group
3rd day into the plan and happy so far had all green days so far but planning a fry up and roast dinner on friday got a chick pea and potato curry in the slowcooker will be having it with rice and cumin roasted butternut squash"chips"
My ermm digestive system has already shown signs of improvement too...i suffer terribly with cramps and bloating

Alpen light bars are 3 syns each or 2 count as a HE B....sorry forgot to note who asked!
Not sure about the special k bliss0 -
Many thanks to judderman62, I received the spreadsheet........will get busy filling it all in, I got no excuses now.
Also thanks to Fuzzybear and Redmel for their syn help.
I think I have worked out why this sw works - by the time I have worked out if I can eat it and/or what syns are in it..........it's time for bed :rotfl:
The group are having a bbq taster and apparently people make and take, so you get to try a lot of different things. Anyone got any good easy ideas, not sure if cold burgers would be ok? This will be my first time:eek:
Thanks again0 -

I had to say yes (with my track record) so I have to fill in fit log and daily sas and food diary for a week - I will report next week how I did and if it has put me back on track.

Hi Frogletina, I'm glad that your WI wasn't as bad as you'd thought, congratulations. I have kept one of the food diaries on the go since I started - otherwise I forget what I've had in terms of HEbs & HEas and what I still need to have and find it really helps me a lot. I keep it tucked into the middle of my book where the syn values are listed so I always have it and have gotten a bit OCD about making sure it's up to date! I'm not familiar with the SAS log though I vaguely recall FlatEric mentions it on page 1 of this thread. I did keep a fit log but it was the same thing every day as I've got a routine going with that so it didn't help me. Keep with it, I know it's a PITA when you start but I just write in it at the end of every meal before I get up from the table and it's second nature now.Slimming World convert, joined 23rd April 2009

No one else is built like Dolly Parton then? Oh well, will just have to take up my other half's offer to come along and hold them for meSlimming World convert, joined 23rd April 2009

Hi everyone, hope I'm ok to join in as I've not joined SW yet officially!
One of my friends is doing it, not officially, just with some sheets she got from another friend. I've had a read through all her stuff and it seems a great plan, if a little bit confusing (I'm not sure if she's got all the information). I'm always dieting, but never get anywhere as diet plans are never geared to vegetarians, plus I'm always hungry - my appetite is horrendous! I've been on and off slimfast for a year (always fail as I'm constantly hungry) and I tried weight watchers (unofficially) with some old books I picked up, but just lacked motivation. So I've decided to go for it and sign up with SW, and I'm hoping that going to a class will motivate me. I don't have a lot to lose, but I just keep gaining little by little, I eat terribly and I'm hoping I can get into good habits before I get really big.
I have a couple of questions as I'm planning to go to a class on Monday night, but want to make a start Monday AM.
First, it says that 'very low fat' natural yoghurt is free - how do I know which are counted as very low fat? My friend said Muller Light do, but they're not vegetarian
Secondly, do you have to pay for weeks you don't go?
Sorry for such a long post, will try not to ramble on like this in future :rotfl:

:rotfl:at your OH
Sorry no help here, my belly probably sticks out further than my 'spaniel ears'.....
My only suggestion is sports shops? OR you could always ask my friend Google:D

Hi Lauren - Welcome
If it is plain/natural yoghurt you are specifically after then most supermarkets have their own brand plain Yoghurt and plain Fromage frais...as long as it says fat free/very low fat then it will be free.
In terms of flavoured yoghurts, yes Mullerlights are free....but so are Danone shape (the fuller for longer ones) and I have just checked mine in the fridge and they say suitable for vegetarians on the side:D

ETA: My friend is vegetarian and has lost over 6st on SW, sticking with Green days (obviously:)) Good Luck.Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
