thanks for your info on the mugshots ~ i didn't have one in the end "just in case" so had some cold tinned spaghetti :p hey ho hit the spot & kept me from raiding the biscuit tin

just wondering what do you all have as low syn snacks? I seem to (by some miracle) have some syns left over but am unsure what to spend them on

    thanks

    Bjb

I am a massive crisp fan lol so I have crisps of some sort depending on how many syns I have left

Kettle Chips (multipack bag) 7 syns
    Monster Munch 6 Syns
    Walkers Lights 6 Syns
    Quavers 4.5 Syns
    Wotsits 5 Syns

BUT I have just discovered Asda's own versions of Quavers, Monster Munch and Wotsits that have the same syn value but are waaaaay cheaper lol you can get 3 x multipakcs of 8 for £3

Or I get the bags of chocolate? you know the ones with mini twirls in etc and I have them, or the little bags of buttons

Or I use some syns on a meriangue and crumble it into a yogurt

There just some of the things I have for my syns on a night time :)

I am uber struggling at the minute, I started the week well but since tuesday I have eaten nothing but crap!

We even had McDonalds for tea last night :(

I need to sort myself out, its weigh day on thursday, I am just kicking myself though cos I have been yo-yo-ing, getting so close to getting my 1 Stone and 1/2 award but then putting weight back on again

I need to plan the meals for the next fortnight (we do our shopping fortnightly) and buy food in

I am finding it quite hard as well cos we just moved into our own home and I am used to mam having everything in I needed to make anything.

So I really need to get my head around meals and get in what I need,

I am having a total mind blank on what to have for lunches at work

I have been having Tuna and beetroot for lunch but really need to think of other things to have?

:jWI this morning - 0.25 lb off! Small amount, but right direction.

Keep plodding away at it - if nothing else I'm eating in a much more healthy way, and that can't be bad.

kindofagilr - the only way I've found is to be organised with it all (not my strength) and to have plenty of salady stuff in the fridge. I take a salad every day to work, but vary the contents. It's sometimes a real struggle to sort it the night before, but I am now in a routine with it, which is the key.

I am going to try and drink more water this week and see if this speeds the losses up a bit.

Well done everyone who's lost or STS!

Weigh in for me today lost 2lb so thats 12lb in 5 weeks, really hope I can lose another 2lb this week !!

I am only doing EE and I am a body optimse member, working well for me at moment

    :)
  • Well done all, some fab losses this week!!

Just wanted to tell you about the magic porridge!

    OMG, it was so yummy!!!
Just mixed a mullerlight (mandarin) with 28g porridge oats in a bowl & left in the fridge overnight.....in the morning nom nom nom, it was lovely, kept me full fo longer than porridge usually does. I really suggest you try it. I only found ou about this as we had a different consultant covering who suggested it to people who were STS to change things around a bit, surprising how many SW members hav 2 weatabix for brekkie, by alternating it a bit, with magic porridge for example, it can get your weight loss moving again!!

I reccomend you all try it! :j

Wil try the porridge - would it work with any yoghurt do you think?

Having a weird day today. Ate brunch at a friends - lots of fresh fruit, dried meat, cottage cheese a bit of brie and a cup of coffee.
Felt hungry on the way home so ate crisps (7 syns) and then wolfed a pasta salad (the syns calculator put it at 4 syns). So looks like an EE day for me.

I think I didn't eat enough at lunch and now feel all wobbly and weak. Will not break out the chocolate though - just waiting for DH so we can have BBQ meat and salad.

this is the first day when I feel I haven't managed too well as I've let myself get hungry.
Saving to pay the tax man
  • Yeah would work with any yogurt, just make sure its a free one so you only have to use your B choice for the porridge oats. Good idea for EE days when your dont wanna lose your A on brekkie but want it for tea through the day. Might work better wih a lullerlight tho because its a bit bigger then a normal yogurt...if you know what i mean!

Looking forward to brekkie 2moz already!!

Not sure if iv mentioned it already but the spinach & ricotta pasta in this months magazine.....its SOOOOO yummy!
1st time I made it I didnt realise the ricotta would be an B and not a A so had to syn it instead. Well worth giving it a go tho!!

    Hey all

Is it okay to very occasional save up one day's HE's for use the next day?

Tomorrow I am taking the young people I work with hill walking. We all need to bring a (substantial) packed lunch. Normally on SW I have salad with pasta/rice/potatoes plus muller light yog and fruit for lunch - i do green days only as I'm veggie. But I was thinking that as I have only had one HEA and one HEB today, then I could save the 2nd lot to use tomorrow so I can have 2 x Cheese (HEA) wholemeal bread rolls (HEB), plus Shreddies (HEB) and milk (HEA) for breakfast.

Would this be okay to do just for one day? Or should I syn the extra cheese and roll?

I don't normally eat my 2 x HEA/B every day of the week anyways, especially the HEB.
