I'm on day 7 so had my first weigh-in today, I've lost 3lb. I'm pleased, that is a good start although I'm slightly disappointed as it was more last time I did induction. The loss is helping to keep me focused over the next week. This morning I started the day with fresh eggs and bacon, beautiful! My friend has chickens and supplied Saturday laid eggs, W O W!! :-)
I keep chickens too - IMO there's nothing better than a cheese omlette made from still warm eggs!Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0 -
No, I am sure - I wish I knew how to post a photo coz then I could show you:
per 100g: Energy 606kcal; protein 23.6g; carb 3.9g of which sugars 1.9g; fat 51.5g; fibre 16.2g; salt 0.95g. It then goes on to give per tablesdpoon (20g) carb 0.8g.
I think it is new stock in a plastic jar.
I bought 3 jars and they all say the same .......
.
Wow brill, will have to get some
It is very low though, i wonder if it's a batch misprint??
:rotfl: i am so paranoid, but have spent time looking for lc peanut butter.:p

Hannoja - well done with the exercise. I have osteoarthritis in my knees and struggle to exercise. You are doing really well.
Thank you MiniI'm sorry to hear about your osteoarthritis
I get my Atkins bars from Tesco Cas. They are expensive, but I try and get them when on offer and not have them too often.
Mazzers I'm sorry about your weight gain. Maybe it's just that little devil on your shoulder who wants to make you fall back off the wagon  Glad you're feeling a bit more positive again :T
'The Force of the Carb' can indeed be strong, but usually when I give in I wonder why I bothered.. is anything really that tasty or worth it..?
I made your fishcakes barmaid. OH had fed the boys when I got home, and hadn't eaten, so I rushed them. I'd asked him to do swede chips and cauli which he did, but his chips were more like burnt crisps. They weren't quite cooked either, but I chucked them in the frying pan for a minute or two and they were okay. I managed to burn the fishcakes too, but they were still tasty. It was rather a large meal. Went well with the Jacob's Creek Merlot I bought on the way home
On my second glass now, which is watered down with tonic water to make it last a bit longer. It's nice, especially because I feel that I've deserved it :A
I thought I fancied going on the Paleo diet once I've lost enough weight to feel that I can handle a change, but I'm not sure about not eating veg. that grows underground, or dairy.. I'd be stuffed without cheese sometimes!! Low G.I. might be better, but that sounds like a bit of a learning curve..... hehe

I've switched to FitDay for recording my nutritional information. So good so far. I've made an egg mayo salad for lunch tomorrow, kind of wishing I'd made it with 3 eggs but 2 will be fine I'm sure.
I've just noticed how long this thread is, who creates a new one at 10,000 posts?!0 -
Trying to keep up with all the posts on here. Bit of a mixed bag - some doing really well and others struggling. Hugs to all.
I weigh myself every day - because I find there is a great variation between one day and the next - and I'd hate to miss the low day if I only weighed weekly!! I stalled very badly for a few months but all I can say is don't give up - stay lc - it pays off in the long run. Stay focused and stay strong - you know it's doing you good!!!:)Treat the Earth well,It was not given to you by your parents,It was loaned to you by your children.Masai proverb0 -

thank you so much, i am going to sainsburys tomorrow0 -
Stayed strong and had half an avacado with a small bit of cheese for dinner. Made some low carb flax chocolate brownies to try to cure the problem. Taste ok though a bit bland but had one so plenty of fibre added to diet.
Weigh weekly, unless I happen to be in Boots. Weigh day either tomorrow or Tuesday so fingers crossed.
Seems to me that we can all put back weight easily but just have to keep plodding along. I have had a lot more to lose than many so it seems sensible that the weight loss would be greater. Bit fed up with learning the carbs have to be gross though!0 -

I suspect it is a misprint. It is more likely to be per tablespoonful rather than per 100g.0 -

I wrote a long post yesterday and lost it, it went along the lines of not being sure about the Gem carb book, someone on Amazon had reviewed it as useless due to portion size being small, med, etc rather than by actual weight, they also mentioned confusion with gross and net carbs.. if its an American site i spose you would deduct fibre but UK sites will have already done it.. i'd stick with UK tbh.
You are right we can put weight on easily, although it's only fluid it makes a huge difference to me due to stomach bloating, Last time i lost 20lb and bought smaller clothes for holiday, after just two days of carbs they looked so tight due to my bloated stomach i couldn't wear them
Slept the clock around last night, feel lively this morning.. no hangoverso better take advantage and go shopping to get lc goodies baked.
