The need for lots of stretching for me means i'm going to be ill.. strange but true! i dont mean vomiting ill, i mean flu.

Sheila, sorry, i've prob made u more confused, I always found it confusing.. UK sites dont usually give gross carbs, just carbs which means net carbs, which are the effective carbs as sofababe said. So if it gives gross and fibre content then yes, deduct the fibre.
And no, there isn't anywhere reliable imo, i've seen onions peppers and swede with varying carbs, fitday is brill, just enter foods/weights and it's all done for you.
I dont always measure mine but just keep generally low due to tried and tested recipes, if i am hungry, i just eat more or i wont stick to it. I am usually very successful, especially in the first few weeks :)
    It's long term i fail :(

Alcohol always stalled me, also got fake weight readings due to being dehydrated then weight gain on rehydration.
Our bodies will burn alcohol for fuel before fat hence the stalling, have it as an occasional treat.

Barmaid, try the butter chicken, truly lush, i have mine over ribboned courgette but am going to try DM's deep fried swede as i bought two from Aldi last week.

Today i shall be making a curry due to sofababe mentioning it ;)
Also making mex fudge (so versatile as fab hot or cold) and cheesy leeks to use them up.
Might make the mousse if i get time, still not been shopping as it's bright n breezy so i've been washing and drying like mad.

To continue the peanut butter debate :D
    Maybe we should email them!

Oops, it logs you out.. just search basics peanut butter, click on it and it gives 12g per 100g.

l: cheese on toast ( using 2 slices of lc bread ) half an atkins bar
    T: sausages x 3 brocoli and butter
had 2 squares of 81% chocolate and some s f chewing gum

It is a different label. The jar is similar, the label is similar, but doesn't have the picture of peanuts on it. It must be a new product. I wish I could post a picture!!!

I wonder what is going on with them??

I've switched to FitDay for recording my nutritional information. So good so far. I've made an egg mayo salad for lunch tomorrow, kind of wishing I'd made it with 3 eggs but 2 will be fine I'm sure.

I've just noticed how long this thread is, who creates a new one at 10,000 posts?!

Not necessary - apparently :) Last time they posted to give us time to sort something out.

Perhaps its all butter and no peanuts?:rotfl:
There's definitely something weird going on, all other pnb's are 9g+. Even the sugar free ones.

    Hi all!

Planning! :j Planning is all!

I am lucky to live alone with cats in this respect as the only food in is what I've bought and nobody can pinch my stuff :)

I do actually plan breakfast and lunch properly but as I only have LC things in, eve meal is sorted but sometimes a mishmash.

    Today
B - 2 sausies (trace carb gluten free asda) slice of brie and chunk of cheddar with a few baby plum toms
    L - Lamb n veg stew
T - Either Beef n veg madras over cauli or 1/2 solid omlet with cheese, Mushies n green beans

Not made my mind up yet.

Off to do a mex fudge. 10 min prep and 45 min oven - easy and will sort out breakfast for the rest of the week :)

Big love to all low carbers!

I keep chickens too - IMO there's nothing better than a cheese omlette made from still warm eggs! :D

Exactly what my friends says, she says there is something so special about warm eggs. Can't wait to try!

not being sure about the Gem carb book, someone on Amazon had reviewed it as useless due to portion size being small, med, etc

I've got the Gem book too, forgot I had it actually and its pretty good, prefer fat day now, takes out alot of the hard work (assuming that is accurate!). My math isn't great!

Today, I am thinking about making a curry

Sainsbury's Basic Curry sauce is 36g net carbs for the whole jar, I mix it with a ton of spices, loads of jumbo prawns with peppers, mushrooms, onions and spring onions and that typically makes 4-5 decent portions, so I figure with all the extra veg's maybe 10g net carbs per portion (total guestimate!).

    Evening all

DEBTMONKEY1A - thanks for the link and advice

Puddings - Congratulations, you must be feeling good:T

mazzers - thanks for all of the info and advice, I appreciate it. Interesting about alcohol being burned first. Maybe I should cut out my daily coffee with cream liquer

sistercas - I guess that following the info on packets is good but could do with a recipe builder, like they have on the Weightwatchers site, to give carb count for each recipe

Minihauk, Mercy, sofababe & caeler - Hi, how are you doing?

I try to plan menu but end up changing it, depending on how I feel

Today I have ended up having

Breakfast - 2 low carb chocolate flax brownies

Lunch - lamb & coconut curry ( eating out) with brocolli paneer

Dinner - a few nuts so far.

Feeling full, heavy and bloated but can't be premenstrual as I'm past all that. Maybe it is the flax muffins as I've not had flax before?

Will weigh tomorrow and see what happens. On 9th month of the diet and have been getting a bit bored so thanks everyone for the ideas, menus, advice and new recipes!!!:A

Caeler, shop around for curry sauce, Tesco jalfrezi is 25g for the whole jar and i'm sure the madras is lower.

Made mex fudge and broccoli/leek cheesy bake and a feta salad but nowt else, ran out of steam :o

While peeling the leeks i realised that when unrolled, the large ones would make a good lasagne sheet substitute, not sure if it would actually work but will def give it a go.

Had some gorgeous sausages from Aldi, long curly skinny ones, which i prefer, not cheap at £1.99 per pack but there is 10 of them, 0.5g per 100g, very meaty.

    Todays food...
    Toast
    Cooked breakfast
    Pork steak and brocc/leek bake

Not felt like anything else, the cooked brekky filled me for hours :)

Oh forgot.. made huge pan of soup too.
