nice to hear from you PP come back soon x

    Agreed :)

Right, before I get carried away doing something else, will try and remember what I consumed yesterday..

    B: Frankies 'n' sauce (1.4g)

L: No actually, it was bacon, egg and mushrooms :p (2g?)
T: Missed it.. won't bore you with how/why.. Had some ham and cheese a bit later, possibly 3 or 4 Brazils,.. can't remember.. followed by an Atkins Endulge with a cuppa. (~5g)

O: Tea, coffee, ~4 pints of water, s/f gum, think that's it..

    Total carbs: ~10g..

Exercise: Hour's dog walk, including 20 mins. Interval Training. Hour's '
    Yin Yoga' (Was wonderful! :D)

Does no one use ground almonds, that could assist me with my carb/ground almond predicament?

I have just bought a big bag (700gms) of almonds with skins on from my local Asian shop for £2.99, but they have no counts on them so I can't help, sorry. I grind them at home and use the meal to cook.

With all the talk of peanut butter - I bought some basics pnb from Sainsburys today - carb count 3.9g per 100g - very low, co guess what I'll be using as snacks. It wasn't as cheap as A*da - I think it was about 93p.

I just checked my jar and it says 12g per 100g? Mine is the cheapo Basics from Sainsburys, had it a while though, so they may have changed it.

    Hi all!

Glad things are moving for some of you!

Sorry if they're not - mee too.

No hormones, not cheating, not, not eating enough veg, what can it be that is stalling me?

    Might be the alcohol?

Actually been pretty alcohol free Monday to Thursday. bit yesterday (2 cans of strongbow) and to be honest, lots today.

Thing is, if you eat well - lots of veg without losing,
and you eat half heartedly - ie just meat, without gaining or losing,
all the time drinking at least 2L water mostly 3L each day.

If you can actually munch on pringles, crisps n the like etc for ages, then do this LC diet for 4-6 weeks without seeing any weight change despite your best efforts.

    What's the ******* point?

Well I do feel better eating this way. Not got the 'fat-carb-neck, so that's ok.

    All that is tho.

Pe-ed off n down my brothers and sisters - pe-ed off n down.

    BLEH!

So unhappy I've just started defrosting the back of the freezer, dangerous, stew for my evening meal - been too upset to do owt before now.

Hear me. It is the most carb laden of any of my frozen foods and I choose to eat it tonight. It is evil with at least 5 good veg, some good chicken but also UP TO 12 BABY BUTTER BEANS! This is the highest carb meal in the house.

I could pave my street with my good doings.

I cannot lose a pound in weight.

    Bleh

    Hi Mercy
    Cheer up:D
How long since you lost? I went for 4 weeks and then lost 2lb the next week and 1 lb last week. Says on some sites that you should try having a couple of high carb days to shock your system and then go very low carb and see if it works. Problem is that I, like you, feel better eating low carb.

Went for my meal and told them I was diabetic.
Starter - smoked fish without roll
Main - Leek and stilton tart - just had the filling, mange tout and ate 1 tbp potato
Dessert- gave me a slice of melon
    Drink - mineral water

Evening - salmon, cauliflower, asparagus, 1 tbsp potato, mayonnaise, 1 chocolate ( naughty) and 1 decaff coffee with Baileys

Tesco ground Almonds are 6.5 carbs per 100g with 7.4g fibre.

Whole Earth Crunchy Organic peanut butter without added sugar - 10.1g carb per 100g, 7.3g fibre. Tastes good!

Glad that you are a bit better and well done in sticking to it. I think that everyone who has persevered with doing this for a long time deserves a big:T

Know how you feel mercy, sometimes i eat cr*p and dont gain but go strictly lc and dont lose, and i often think whats the point, but as you said, i feel better on lc so is worth the effort.

Sheila, the fibre is already deducted on UK foods, its USA where they have to deduct for the net carbs.
