Today I have discovered the joys of creme fraiche :T Isn't it lovely! I had some with stewed rhubarb and it was possibly the nicest thing I've ever eaten :D
It has the same carbs as double cream, slightly lower fat- 32/100 as opposed to 48/100 but its so thick and creamy and soooooo yummy!

Isn't it ridiculous to be so excited over a dairy product? :rotfl:

Thanks Hannoja, but I slipped off the wagon last night. Someone had very helpfully bought me three little Cad***y caramel eggs. DS ate one, and I ate the other two, then of course I ate more chocolates and some licquorice allsorts. Oh well, today is a new one so back on track now.

I must be prepared so I don't slip at the weekend. I find when I am home alone I want to eat anything that is around (boredom, I know), so I have started knitting in the hope that will stop me, don't want to knit with sticky fingers.

Hope you all have a good lc day.

Ow, well as you say, each day is a fresh one: can always start again.
Yes, that niggling urge to keep eating can be so hard to fight. That's the biggest problem with dieting isn't it - the mental battle..

Onions seem popular. They're not great for us LCers when cooked though ;)

Puddings, how's the 30 day shred? Well done on not pigging out: being upset can bring on a pig out urge that's hard to fight: that 'what's the point, I may as well just stuff my face' feeling is tough to bash down sometimes!

I must be the only female that doesn't want to be a size 10 or smaller.. 12 has always been my idea of a good size to be... <shrug> Don't wanna be no twig! :p

Interesting article on Nigella here - does the 'Clean and Lean' diet look familiar..?

Barmaid - courgette ribbons! - use like spaghetti ;) 12 lbs in < 3 weeks? Wow, excellent! :T Oh you said about not being in shape 'yet' after having had a baby a year ago... try 6! :o

Regarding Yoga/Pilates instructors, I don't know, since I do all mine at home, mainly from youtube these days. If that's a suitable option for you I'd definitely start out that way, then you will know what to look for in an 'out of the home' instructor. If I went out to a class I'd want someone like Esther Ekhart, Sadie Nardini, or Diane, Sarah or Matt from Yogayak.

Well done Keater and Cas for not eating sweets. Giving something up can take a lot of willpower :T

Nutty! I nearly hit the peanut butter last night because of you :p You've got my mind on peanut butter! lol. Yes if you're aching I would have a day off. Don't overdo it or you could end up having to have several days off to recover, and that may affect you mentally - interrupt your flow, so to speak. Build up gently ;) Must try caul pizza!

Mazzers, I might go for a Genie then. Did see some rubbish reviews, but there are good ones too.
fitday just seems to be on iphone or online.. no android app?
I did join/get fatsecret and myfitness pal - android apps and online, but it got a bit too time consuming entering everything I ate. Easier here :) Might try them again though..
Was wondering about your bloating, but then you gave the likely reason. Depressing, but at least it will pass in a few days. Keep being good then you should get a nice surprise :)

Hi sofababe  <adds creme fraiche to shopping list> :D

Sunny.. you okay..? How's the hand..

Well, I've been so busy commenting on your comments that I've run out of time for putting yesterday's 'doings'. Will hae to do it later.

    Don't give up:eek:

If your'e bloated it is probably just fluid and hormones are the devil for interfering with our bodies.

Not nice to be woken in the night, it happens to me sometimes when someone wants a cab! I get up a lot in the night anyway but am semi used to it now but it makes you ratty.

Out to lunch with family and have no idea what is on the menu. Set lunch with booze so hope that I can be good. As I am not paying it is more difficult as I don't want to offend anyone but we'll see.

    Have a good day all!!!

I feel your pain! my blip on Thursday made me put a lb on too, but that was my own fault. Keep going Mazzers and I'm sure they will fall back off when the hormones settle.

I need to go shopping today as running out of lc foods. Going to look through the recipes first though, to see what i want to eat.
Why is it that I don't fancy the cold chicken I have in the fridge??
  • Does no one use ground almonds, that could assist me with my carb/ground almond predicament?

Mrs G uses ground almonds from Tesco. 6.5g per 100g

Edit: Just realised that you are looking for industrial quantities.

murphydog the only almonds i have in at the mo are 6.5g per 100g( ones with the skin on) but its a little bag i took with me today as a snack . i would be interested in buying bigger bags ( i looked at some in c0stc0 which were £6.99 for 1.3 kg approx but i never thought to check the carb count ) i bought the little bag first to see if my grinder attachment could cope with grinding almonds

mazzers piggin' hormones , keep going though you would have probably gained even more if you wernt lcing
