worried jim welcome you will find a wealth of information on here , lc is perfect for managing diabetes
mercy WOW! you are so knowledgable :T have bookmarked the info re sleep- thanks
i eat sugar free sweets and they do upset my stomach , but sometimes i really NEED sweet stuff and they seemed to be the better option, now perhaps because of all the synthetic ingredients maybe as you suggest the odd real sweet may be better, in all honesty i need to wean myself of sweet things altogether . but after years and years of a high daily sugar intake its hard to stop
Mazzers the body is supposed to be 72% water!! mine at present is 29.7% that shows how fat i am

Morning Peeps :wave:I will be making some of those fab looking cakes from Sheilas link tomorrow, maybe a daily slice will keep me off the chocs
Dunno if it's my age (decreasing hormones) but i'm craving chips and chocolate all the time, so unlike me
I'll have to be hoisted out through the roof if i dont calm down, why cant i crave salad instead
This is me too:(
I`ve had two bad days after a string of mediocre ones. Yesterday it was one of those enormous bags of crisps - and yes i did eat every single one, the day before it was cakes
I swear that i would be fine if i didn`t have to go to bloomin w*rk as if i`m gonna be bad its always when i`m there.
If i`m home i`m always good!
It seems like ages since i posted, i`ve been managing to keep up with the thread by reading on my phone in bedIn another couple of weeks or so things should calm down and i can get back to normal - well eleven or twelve days actually:D see i`m counting lol.
I`ve just taken some extra hot keema mince out of the slowcooker and that is cooling in the kitchen, i have the sniffles so hopefully the heat in that will blast the sniffles away. I have enough for two days at least as well as feeding DH too, think i`ll do a version of sausage casserole in the sc tomorrow and then i won`t have to think about what to cook for DH whilst i`m at w*rk - it will just take care of itself
Right i`m off to varnish my new skirting boards before i go to w*rk.
Have good days Peeps!!

Afternoon LCers - just back from my weekend away.
Nice to see new folks in so hello to them. Also nice to read about everyone's ups and downs too.
Weekend eating was fine - had two small biscuits on Friday and a glass of wine on Friday and Saturday nights.
Spent a lot of money in Weegieland but it's all good. Handbag, scarf, mugs etc as I decided to treat myself for a change.
Had breakfast, got some chicken concoction for evening meal and will probably have a glass of wine too. Need to get the place sorted out as when I go away on 23 Feb the flat is being redecorated and then new carpet is being laid. I hate the upheaval but need to clear the walls and shelves. So a bit ofbut for the good of the living space so lots of :j:j too!
Right - off to catch up on Dr Who which I missed at the weekend, only seen the two-parter three times already but I can bear watching it again.
Water to drink!
Case to unpack!
Sofa to lie on!0 -
Does anyone have a good recipe for this..previously I used the pancakes made with soy flour and stacked them, but wanted to try something different.0

Afternoon all
Mercy I need swwts/ love sweets they help more than you can imagine. I have two special needs children and the youngest screams for hours and I really mean hours most afternoons. Shes on a lot of meds which do help but don't sadly 100% control it. Sweets help block out the screaming after a good half and hour of listening to it. You must think im mad but really thats the only time I fancy them and they really do help. If I didnt have them im sure id cry. Walking round holding a screaming baby isnt fun.
So breakie today was an Atkins bar
Dinners was chicken breasts, cauli, green beans and brocoli and im so stuffedMad Mum to 3 wonderful children, 2 foster kittens and 2 big fat cats that never made it to a new home!
Aiming to loose 56 pounds this year. Total to date 44.5 pounds 12.5 to go. Slimming World Rocks!0 -

Hi
Can't think of a better reason for eating sweets, I suppose it's just down to how many as they help so much.
I've had a sweet tooth looming so made Almond slices and had some for breakfast - very nice with cream

Hi gang.
No dinner to come home to tonight, but we'd agreed that this morning, so I can't complain.
Just did a couple of those big mushrooms with some hot peperami, stalks and a hot little green chilli chopped up in them, smeared thickly with some Boursin I needed to use up: a garlic one and a pepper one. Didn't do it properly, as just put stuff in and shoved under grill, hence mushrooms weren't cooked, but I don't care. Was still yumshious!
Happily guzzling a glass of red wine now, which I've watered down with tonic to stretch it out a bit. Just can't decide whether to make more food or not.. Don't feel hungry so don't need to right? If I get hungry I can do a little sausage stir fry. If not, I'm sure the sausages will keep a few more hours...
Another successful bathroom visit this morning. More info. below for those who actually give a sh........ :rotfl:
Was quicker than last few attempts, just as.. ahem.. impressive (an elephant would be proud!), and hardly painful. I'm getting rather... anal..? - lol, pun intended, sorry! - about this.. but hopefully understandably..? OH said no wonder I feel better after that, and that I should go on ratemypoo.com.... lol!! I seem to go every third day I think.. <ponders> Maybe this is just a new norm. for me...

So I'm back because I fell off the wagon spectacularly!! 11lb to be precise! 11lb in 3 months!! So starting from tomorrow I'm going to go back to the start, remind myself of the principles of low carb and hope I can get myself back to normal. I had been doing such a good and sustained job with my weight, I'd maintained my weight and had reintroduced carbs and found my tolerance level, all was going so well until I got diagnosed with cancer. I've been comfort eating for 3 months and it has got to stop! I think the weight gain is making me feel worse!! So I might need some words of encouragment from you lovely bunch.0

Caeler, i comfort ate when my niece had cancer and then had a coil fitted to control heavy flow so put back on all of the weight i lost too...
I'm starting back tomorrow and want to see some serious weight loss from you tooWe can do it!
Naran, i love those sweets too but they did stall me
I also bought the sugarfree lollies (a whole tub, they are still in the cupboard!)
Have you tried some 80% chocolate instead? If you freeze it you can let it melt slowly in your mouth, it's quite a choc fix.
I also make choc brazils/almonds with it, or dip strawberries into it and let harden0
