Oh dear. Put on a pound this week :(
Guess there's little room for naughtiness; although going from losing 4 lbs to putting on 1 lb, there must be a little leeway.. Maybe I'll try just 2 glasses of red wine this weekend, and see what happens then... (no drinking till it's all gone, no 'blow outs'...)

    Was good yesterday:

    B: 2 franks 'n' sauce
L: bowl of left over veggie. stewy thing (forgot to say it had a handful of lentils in it too)
T: 2 Asda G/F sausages, swede, green beans (their mash was lovely and there was some left.. but I didn't.. OH has it for his lunch today with some beans and corned beef)

O: Tea, coffee, ~5 pints water (3 with green tea and a couple tsps lemon juice), S/F chewing gum,.. think that's it.. oh, and a mouthful of mash potato.. mmm...

Exercise: ~50 mins. walk with chops, hour's wii fit.

    Oh well. Onwards and upwards.
Don't look at the mountain, climb up it.
    ... etc...

    Be good ;)

at last my vital wheat flour has arrived and ive made the bread that mazzers posted. its still warm from the oven but ive had a slice off the end and it seems really good , i think i may use less salt next time ( and probably not overcook it either :o)

thanks to hannoja too as ive picked up the hot dogs from @ldi today and am having some for my tea with some veggies and butter and the lc bread of course :D

ive been eating a few sugar free sweets this week and they seem to upset my stomach :o so i guess i'll have to ditch those ( really craving sweets too :()

Weird day yesterday. I've got a stinking cold, which kinda 'snuck' up on me. Blocked nose, sore/stiff neck/shoulders area, general feeling of 'yuckiness'... Bleugh!
Narrowly avoided a 'big style wagon fally offy'!
Didn't do exercises till evening as went out on a rare shopping trip.

    B: Usual: 2 frankfurters (1.4 g)

    L: Pre-pack roast chicken (2.6 g)
T: Nothing really.. Munched on some corned beef, had a bite of youngest's left over roll from lunch, mouthful of tuna... Think that's it.. (~ 5 g)

O: Kept nibbling on the corned beef: I do like it when it's gone hard in the fridge.. Tea, coffee, 2 litres water, s/f chewing gum,...

Total carbs: 9 g .... really...? Must've forgotten something..
    I'm sure I must've eaten something else, but I can't think of anything... Oh, a couple of co-codamol.. Head's fuzzy <sniffs>

Was gonna have my favourite sausage stir fry but couldn't be bothered when I finally got to sit down. Thursday eve's a bit of a pain with clubs and what not..

Exercise: 10 mins interval training, 20 mins.
Fat Burning Yoga (thanks adelight: where are you btw? <peers>), 40 mins. Restorative Yoga (Mmmm this was niiice..)

Sat on floor doing lots of neck stretches and that kind of thing for a good hour or so last night. Helped. Then got on sofa and sniffed Eucalyptus, Karvol and Cavonia whilst watching NCIS :D

    Be good :A

Thanks for the recommendations for Carte Noir decaff
I looked on Mysupermarket and Sainsburys seems to be doing 100g for £2.80 at the moment, which isn't too bad.

hannoja - get well soon. Had this cold 2 weeks ago and it is just clearing now. Keep warm and let's hope the reduced carbs from yesterday pay dividends

Yesterday I met up with a friend who is a veggie and we had stuffed mushrooms for lunch, which were yummy

Made a filling of chopped courgettes, onions, garlic, red pepper, small tomatoes and mushroom stalks. Fried in a little olive oil and put inside 4 (2 each) large mushrooms. Topped with a few mixed nuts, her idea, and then put on St Agur Delice. Put in oven for 20 mins. Absolutely delicious!! Probably around 6 - 7 carbs total.

I love St Agur Delice and have it every day but it isn't available in every supermarket.

Think I may try the swede rostis tonight from the website that I linked to earlier.

Off to hospital later to discuss the operation for my hernias. I've lost over 64lb so surely they'll be ok as it is uncomfortable!

Have a good day everyone and try to stay warm!!

    Hi All,
I haven't had time to check in for a few days, but not doing too badly, I hope.
I probably have a few more carbs than most of you, and don't know how long it will take me to lose weight, but I feel much better for eating fewer carbs than previously.
I was offered a chocolate cupcake this morning. I took a tiny sliver and decided it wasn't worth the carbs, so gave it away:T
    Feel quite virtuous now, lol.

Hope you are all well on still on the lc bandwagon.

tried to get on last night but the page just wouldnt load

mazzers the bread is defo a hit with me , its just like real bread but smaller slices and is delish with butter on , i managed to get 19 slices out of it so im guessing each ( small ) slice is around 3 carbs , i have frozen them in 2's, hoping they defrost ok

been to meadowhall with DD1 and DH , we stopped at kr!spy kreme and bought 4 doughnuts and drinks , i have resisted my doughnut so far ( and there is one for DD2) think i'll have to give it to DH as im worried it will kick off a full blown carb binge

breakfast; 2 hotdogs large mushroom with tomato and cheese grilled
lunch: salad hot dogs hard boiled egg lc bread 2 squares of 72% choc

tea will be chicken and brocoli and maybe some peas as i am realy fancying them

Hannoja hope you are feeling a bit better, do you just have 2 hotdogs for breakfast? does it fill you?

sheila thanks for the link it looks great

Hello everyone! Just been invited to join you all by sofababe as I have been eating a diet of LCHF since Sunday and doing very well. Really enjoying it with no issues and any side effects have now passed after just a couple of day and I feel great.
I am doing this as I am a type 2 diabetic and need to make a change in my life. I started this after reading a thread on this site last Saturday and something clicked with me and I started the very next day. I have even been compiling a online diary which is here-
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3776581
Where I have had loads of advice and tips from other in a similar situation. It's great to be able to share and read about everyone's experiences. I shall make a point of dropping by to catch up. Jim.

I've been a bit scatty today. I've had no proper LC food in and I'm very proud of myself for not falling off the wagon.

I had bacon and eggs for brekkie, then set off for work without any lunch, so I shot into Asda and grabbed one of their ready made ham and egg salads (which wasn't very nice, I only had a few mouthfuls). Then I got home and remembered I meant to go shopping so I had the option of eating frozen chicken  or one of the 5 takeaway joints that are directly opposite my house.

BUT I went to the corner shop in the hope that they had a tin of hot-dogs and some mushrooms. Miraculously they did so I made a bake with 4 hot-dogs, 5 chopped mush, a leek and a handful of frozen broccoli florets all fried up in a pan then into a little oven dish, covered with strong grated cheddar and under the grill. Sprinkle on a bit of cayenne pepper and hey presto, yummy, quick, low carb tea  Cheap too!!

    I'm an :A :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
