Absolutely - I have 4 lbs to lose to my target weight and it is happening very slowly now. At the start when I stalled I increased my fat intake ie cream - and that kick started the loss again. Re weighing - it's difficult to explain but sometimes I weigh and see a considerable loss and then the next few days it's up but eventually settles at the low weight - it's a bit like having a vision of what your weight could be if you stick with it for the next few days or week- weird I know- but if I weigh myself only once a week it might be on an 'up' day and that might happen the next week and I would miss the 'loss' days in between - it does eventually come off - I know most people would say not to weigh everyday but I swear I can see a pattern - so I don't get too disheartened as long as I know I'm doing my best - then I know it def will come off.

Not had a good day, have undone the last two good days.

Electrician came before brekkie so had no food until he left, scoffed two hot cross buns then, downhill from there.

Determined to start again tomorrow as the heartburn is back.

Electric sorted, heating back on :j

DM, i cant remember how my loss went, was very up and down daily i think, but downward on the whole.
I do remember saying i was only going to weigh monthly as that gave a true picture for me due to monthly hormone changes causing gains.
Once i lose a stone i get a bit cocky and think i can introduce carbs again.. soon piles back on.

Debtmonkey- I don't think we did put weight on, but if you search my threads started you'll be able to see as I started a thread from when I was deciding to low carb.

    Thank-you Beanrua :)

Mazzers, glad your electric is sorted

Sunnyday they are the sausges we use or the Lidl premier chipolatas. Great carbs, great price.

We have eaten well but are cheating with a sneaky beer to celebrate being at goal weight.

i need something sweet to eat

    I've adapted this recipe http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/8084/flourless-chocolate-and-pear-cake
and instead of a big cake I make muffins.

There is only the 2 of us so I make everything 50g, use 2 eggs not 3, I've taken it upon myself to add 1/4 teaspoon baking powder - althought the recipe doesn't call for it - I use ground almonds not hazelnuts, no alcohol (although I used Tia Maria at xmas), I use 85% chocolate and don't put fruit on top.

With regards to the sugar, I don't like them overly sweet so I use 25g brown sugar and 25g Stevia.

I get 6 muffins out of this and have worked out that they are between 5-6g carbs each, depending on what chocolate you use. I've been having one with double cream and berries for breakfast :)

I've just made some with ginger and walnuts, which was good, I think orange flavouring and grated orange peel will be my next flavour try.

They don't keep fresh very long, a couple of days really

    Morning Peeps

Sistearcs - Good luck at the dentist :D I hate going.

Well my kitchen looks like a bombsite this morning and i`m blaming Mazzers :D

I`ve just made the lc lasagne and its just finishing off in the oven as i type, i`ve also got the chilli cooling that i made overnight in the slow cooker, so its chilli for tea tonight and then lasagne tomorrow.

Dinner today will be a beef and extra hot horseradish sauce sanger that i`ll be making to take to w*rk shortly and brekkie will be bacon, scramblies and mushrooms.

I could murder DH as i can`t find the blooming oven gloves - he`s bound to have put them somewhere daft - i`ve already checked the freezer :rotfl:

I`m bound to burn myself getting the dishes out of the oven.

Right back to the kitchen i go - its getting windy outside again  hope that we`re not in for some more nasty weather.

    Enjoy your days peeps

Just thought I'd report on the instant bread recipe including flax, as last time I made it with 15% flax it felt like I'd swallowed a brick. I'd tried it with just almonds and that was too cake-like, so 80% almonds / 10% parmesan-type cheese / 10% flax. Sooooo much better; not heavy, not sweet, just right - for me and my home-made chicken liver pate, anyway.

(!00g ground almond inc. whatever mix / 25g butter, melted / 2 eggs / 1 tbsn cream / 1/2 teasp baking powder. Mix wet, then dry, then dry into wet, then microwave - original recipe says 3min, but 2.5 does it in mine.)
