If you fancy a 1/2 day out...go to http://www.haqhalal.co.uk/ on the outskirts of Bradford. Picture looks like it's small-but it's very big inside & very very cheap.:beer:0 -
My OH hit his goal weight also today :j 12st 13lb, he is 6ft 4. Going to treat him to a beer tomorrow
Glad everyone is eating well & losing weight:T
Sunnyday, that is my downfall as well. Not eating.Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -
Hi all
Just wanted to share that I had a lovely breakfast thanks for a tip from here. Had a few berries, mixed with single cream, flaked almonds and hazelnuts. really enjoyed it and made a change from eggs!0 -
Sausages.....
I always buy high meat content sausages which are lower carb. They are more expensive than 'normal' sausages but are really tasty.
This morning I found a pack of M & S sausages in the freezer which I remember were cheaper than other makes. If anyone is interested they are ...
8 premium pork sausages 93% pork and are only 1g carbs per sausage....they are really nice too.0 -
Ok...well made the gym (1st time in 9 months!)-ache all over today-but forgot that nice 'buzz' you get afterwards.
Sunday night & Monday night (very bad)-CURRY TAKEAWAY. Now the one I have is sweetened with pinapple juice & is a bog dish with loads of cream......G/F had king prawn Masala. We had ONE chapatti each (around 20-24 g carb) + yogurt (fullish fat-4-5 gm/100gm)..starters were seekh kebabs (actually sure these were frozen & contained flour-the usual seek kebabs we get from another place are pure meat) both days. G/F had Keema karai day 2-I had the same. Also day 2 we shared a 'spinach paneer' (not a clue on carbs for paneer-think its like cottage cheese?-so not too bad).
Scales this am-I'm still just under 2kg lighter than starting 3 1/2 weeks ago-which is good-but both me & G/F are UP a kg??!
Any thoughts? Is say 35gm carb in one setting enough to put back glycogen/water thingy?
And do a lot of you long termers notice a 'freeze' or slight increase in weeks 3-5 (i posted a link earlier that would suggest this).
I feel GREAT, mood is GREAT, skin/hair good, face deffo thinner & trouser looser...but scales don't match up. My G/F is a bit despondant about it (she's only been on it a week).
I know as well that vodka doesn't help...BUT I know it only 'stalls' the weight loss-not causing an increase?
Any thoughts anyone?0 -

Haven't had the M&S ones but the Black Farmer premium pork sausages are gluten free and only 1g of carbs per 100g sausages. We really like them.0 -
Morning Peeps
i`ve just prepped a tub to take to work later for tea.
Brekkie today will be boiled eggs and bacon with mushrooms, i had to boil some chuckies for one of the woofaloes so i thought that i`d do mine too for a change - prefer scramblies though.
Dinner is a beef and hot horseradish sauce sandwich and tea is the tub which contains pastrami, cubed cheese, sliced gherkins and some more hot horseradish sauce all mixed up together
Snacks if i need them will be a 25g bar of dark choccie and some nuts.
I need to keep the nuts down i think as i ate far too many last night, i`m also trying to save some carbs for a hot choccie later, there is a tub of options in the cupboard and if i make it fairley weak and add lots of double cream its gorgeous
Speaking of sausages i`ve got two cartons of the @ldi chipolatas in the fridge at 0.5g per 100g and the pack size is 375g, also M0rrisons do frozen quarter pounders that are 99% beef and are zero carbs, great to snack on cooked and cubed in garlic mayo *drools*
I`ve just done a super duper tidy up after walking the woofaloes and prepped a chilli for the slowcooker tonight, kitchen is now scrubbed and now i`ll go and hop in the shower and scrub me before eating my late brekkie and dashing off to w*rk.
Have a great lc day peeps
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Glad to see everone doing ok - well done -and also to pp's OH!
boiled eggs and lc bread to-day, HM soup - and to-night cauli and brocoli cheese things with veg sausages and cheese. Thank goodness I love cheese cauli and brocoli stuff - would be lost without it.
debtmonkey - might sound bizarre - but that's exactly why I weigh myself most days - as I can see the fluctuation pattern more clearly. Think everyone stalls sometimes - might need to add more fat to your diet? - tho' I'm no expert on lcing at all.Treat the Earth well,It was not given to you by your parents,It was loaned to you by your children.Masai proverb0 -
beanrua-during your 1st few weeks did you get slight increases-stall a few days then drop?0
