I've just made the almond/flax loaf and it has turned out well, despite me only having 3 eggs to put in it. I used half almond and half flax meal, plus some whole flax seeds for texture. It tastes lovely warm with some butter, a bit like Irish soda bread, and I think it would be very good with home made soup. The texture is a bit 'cake like' though, so I doubt it would make a sandwich - we'll see. It's now cooling and waiting to be wrapped in foil.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

I been on a low carb diet since tues - I'm finding it pretty expensive due to the amount of meat & cheese I'm getting through. I'm feeling a bit low and rubbish today but I expect that is normal. I know this diet works as I've done it before but so far I've not lost any weight - just stayed the same. I'm finding that when I'm going to bed I'm not tired and can't get to sleep easily - I had problems with this before when I was low carbing.
Anybody else fed up0 -
Again, thanks lots of good advice. Think I need to try baking a bit more, not very confident baker though! Will look at the carbs on tinned tomatoes, never crossed my mind they would be high in carbs!0
