Did well yesterday except for 8 chocolate sweets!!! Had intended to weigh myself this morning but forgot and wasn't going to de-dress again - so will do it to-morrow. Putting off the inevitable can only last so long! Haven't a clue yet about what I'll eat to-day - not a good sign - it's always easier if you're focused and prepared.

Hi all!
Been good yesterday and today, finding it quite easy but i have been well prepared.
In that spirit I've bought all the ingredients for Mexican Fudge again. I will use more chillis this time
I'm going to make some cracker / biscuit things as I find i want to nibble in the eve.
Re: flax becoming unstable if cooked. I think they mean the omega 3 content will become unstable if cooked. Ground flax also loses omega 3 if not used quite quickly. I grind up enough for current use in my magic bullet. Takes so little time it's no hardship. I don't use it for it's O3 content anyway, as it is less effective than fish / animal version.
I use ground flax as a low carb alternative to flour in some recipes, and to get more fibre in my day. I also find it a bit nutty and not fishy at all  but then I can and do enjoy FF goats milk and do not taste the 'goat' in that, unlike my sister :rotfl:
wishing you all a happy LC weekend!

Hi all
I have been low carbing for about 5 weeks (not including 2 weeks or so over xmas!). Found it a fine diet to follow and lost about 10 pounds - most of that in the first 2/3 weeks though! Back on it now and ready to carry on loosing weight.
The only problem I find is breakfast. I am not a big egg fan, don't mind having them once or twice a week but would like some ideas for some other breakfasts. Pre-low carbing I would have had toast or porridge or muesli. Any ideas?
Thanks0 -
Hi and welcome cherub85. I sometimes have porridge for brekkies.
Other - ham and cheese
lidl yoghurt - and berries.
Not much help I'm afraid - might think of something else as night goes on.Treat the Earth well,It was not given to you by your parents,It was loaned to you by your children.Masai proverb0 -
I don't think that frozen cauli is quite as nice but its a very good second best and i think that i'll carry on using it tbh as its much more convenient.
I've just eaten mine smothered in cheese and black pepper
It was the Morri$ons value bag that i got and i think that the only difference between that one and the more expensive bag is that the pieces are smaller in the value one.

Hi CherubWell done on getting back to lcing :T For brekkie we like seed mix with a touch of cream. It is like a museli type taste. I posted the one we bought a few pages back. We just had celery this morning as I was running late for work.
Beanrua, just bite the bullet & get weighed. We only fix it if we face itIt won't be as bad as you think x
Gers, you have made me want almonds now, just as well I have some in or I'd be cursing you :rotfl:

Thanks so much pp - I will commandeer your meal plan for the week and substitute veggie chicken and mince etc - I love burgers in flat mushrooms or large lettuce or cabbage leaves steamed or boiled.
For some reason I am craving carbs to-night - haven't felt like this for yonks!!!! - don't quite feel myself - maybe something brewing - will hit the hay early - nite all.Treat the Earth well,It was not given to you by your parents,It was loaned to you by your children.Masai proverb0 -

Hi Cherub, I often have cheese, olives and sliced salami for a continental style brekkie, or if this doesn't appeal you can make porridge from ground and whole flax seeds plus a few oats, make it with water and add sweetener of your choice and a good splash of cream at the end. You might like to try a flavoured whey protein powder mixed into a 'milkshake' with water or unsweetened soya milk and a dash of cream, they are quite a popular breakfast choice amongst low carbers, but I found I lost more weight by avoiding them.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0 -

Been having a lot of foot cramps lately, this usually happens when i l/c but obviously thats just coincidence then.
Leccy still off, no heating, no gas fire either due to an ongoing problem (with a bl00dy brand new fire) luckily tho, the shower is working :T
