morning everyone , I am excited this morning because i had a email telling me my delivery of low carb stuff will arrive today :j. I odered low carb wraps @ 3 carbs each and lots of other interesting stuff.
last night I made a very large egg custard tart and it was 3 carbs in total , it was so yummy but I ate too much of it (why cant i learn) and felt a bit icky again.
breakfast was bacon & egg /greek yogurt with half a teaspoon of wheat bran (to keep me regular).
Lunch hopefully a cheese wrap if postie comes by then.
tonight I am having chilli con carne @ 5 carbs (cos of the beans).
do any of you count your carbs ? I try to if I can.
Hi-yes i try to. What recipe are you using for chilli with beans at 5 carbs???0 -
DM i grind my flax as required too. Its not super fishy, but just that hint.0

I would say that if flax tastes fishy it has gone rancid and should be chucked out. It's really important to buy from somewhere that has a good turnover of stock as rancid flax is disgusting and probably not very good for you either. I buy my seeds in bulk from here https://www.flaxfarm.co.uk and grind myself. I know they are probably not the cheapest, but they are fresh and the mail order service is good.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

Hi , I just boil the cauliflower until very soft , drain well , mash & then add a teaspoon of cream cheese & a teaspoon of cream , add a dash of salt. MASH ALL TOGETHER.Kindness costs nothing0 -
I dont have many options for snacks aside from pork scratchings. found some 'fridge raiders' on offer in sainsburys earlier and they're actually pretty tasty http://www.mattessons.co.uk/?page_id=212 . about 2g carbs in a 65 g bag. was hard to stop at half a bag though !!
anyone got any other suggestions ? I tried polish sausage (kabanos) but they were a bit grissly and tough skin which put me off !!
Take care with the pork scratchings. I was eating these before Christmas and cracked a toothPut up with toothache over the holidays then went last week. Had a temporary filling (40 quid !!) and going back tomorrow for the proper work to begin.
Anyway, have totally forgotten the diet over christmas and started again today. Did not have the nerve to weigh myself this morning, will try tomorrow.
Thank goodness all the Christmas goodies have finally gone.0 -

Just got to share this, it may give you a giggle. While hubby was at work today I decided to cut the Christmas cake up, wrap portions in clingfilm and freeze. When he came home I showed him the 1 solitary piece left in the tin, he said wheres all that gone there was loads left, I told him I ate it all lol. His face was a picture lol I finally fessed up but it made me laugh for ages.
I know Christmas cake 'keeps' but I rther it be out of temptation.0 -
