Morning everyone!
What a 'good' day I had yesterday - and it shows today in my energy levels and general outlook. I know it's only in my head this early on but that's where it's most important.
Already this morning I've had some egg mayo and some 10% yoghurt. I must go out today and get some more yoghurt and some berries for the rest of the week.
Lunch will be bacon and eggs and the evening meal will be the cauli mixture with a sausage mixed in. More water will also be in order throughout the day.
I'm still off work (it's been too long now) but will do stuff with my work laptop - archive last years' emails, set up new folders for emails and back up the contents before defragging. Will be clearing out 'stuff' too but that's really just sitting on the sofa putting things into piles and the going to the recycling centre.
Need to start moving more!
Happy LCing today - I hope your will power kicks in (mind you, hope my will powers stays put!!) today and that all goes well. Nice to see some of the 'old' posters back in too. :j0 -
A newbie here:)
Really like the idea of a low carb diet. I am a real carb bandit and it has to stop. Homemade bread is my enemy!
First I have to get my head round the good carbs and bad carbs.
I need some suggestions for what I can take to work for lunch.
If I have porridge oats for breakfast, how much is a portion?
I am sure I will be posting for some advice from you lovely ladiesLoved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -
Hi Northwest.
There are LOADS of links to recipes on the first page of this thread -all posted yoinks ago. There's lots of inspiration.
Good luck!0 -

Whatever are you trying to say?! :rotfl:
Glad to be back, feeling good as I've been getting my head round the LC idea again for a while and now feel ready for it.
Been making lists of food requirements so there's plenty of LC stuff knocking about. Making a weekly meal plan helps so much.
Made a tasty beef, leek n mushroom casserole yesterday. I'll be potting it off over cauli for lunches at work. That'll give me a choice of lunches in the freezer. Will mostly be eating cheese, ham and boiled eggs for breakfasts, Veg, cheese, chicken, omlets and flax crackers for evening meals.
Thinking about green smoothies but needs more thought and organisation yet.
Aiming for less than 20g carb a day at least for the next few weeks.
Feels good to be positive, good start!
Hope you all have fun today!

Hello and welcome!
For lunches I take HM curries, casseroles, soups. I batch cook and freeze so there is a choice in the morning. Instead of rice I use mashed up cauli.
Breakfast is quite continental, meat, cheese and eggs. All are easily portable or scrambled eggs take 2 mins
Do check out the recipe ideas on page 1 as Gers suggested. Mooching through those should give you plenty of ideas
Best of luck hun!

Hello peeps. I'm still here, lurking as I sometimes do. I was rather a piggy over Christmas and feel like a large lump of lard. However, on the plus [STRIKE]size [/STRIKE]side (no pun intended! _pale_ ) I kept up the exercise (~ 2 hrs/weekday (1 hr dog walk) ) so I'm rather pleased about that. Just Dance 2 (extra songs) really helped, as family was happy to join in. Did half an hour of it earlier with eldest, after we'd all walked doggy chops, then I did ~40 mins. Yoga on my own.
Started back on lc yesterday. Did pretty well, though I struggled with a rather low/sad/down feeling all day which culminated with a couple of whisky and sug.free lemonades which went down a treat. Didn't make me 'forage' in the kitchen either which was good. Don't intend to weigh myself for at least a week or two.
Hi Mercy and Gers  Lovely to see you back0 -
Hi hannoja! Thanks for the welcome
This place always was a nice one, really good to see that's still the sameFull of lovely people who are all on your side - can't beat it :j
Going at it a bit, got a mexican fudge in the oven, not made that for ages so hoping it's as good as I remember. Also found 2 ducks legs in asda at half price so they're roasting as I type. Never had ducks legs before, any good?
I'm actually quite excited to be LCing again. Just have to make sure I don't prepare more than I can eat:rotfl:
