Hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday! I had a very lc day yesterday - if I ignore everything I ate and drank except the turkey - which is exactly what I intend to do - ignore it!!!;)Treat the Earth well,It was not given to you by your parents,It was loaned to you by your children.Masai proverb0

Glad that's all over...had curry for lunch (no rice) -on Xmas Day...on my own-which....i really enjoyed! GF is abroad until 31/12...bliss...total control of the TV remote!
Amended my Soya bread recipe...now using 1/2 almond meal (£4-50 a kg-whole almonds-asian shop!).
Total for whole loaf is 12.5 to 13 carbs-a bit like cornbread-yum! I like it salty (I use lo-salt) so reduce salt if you want to. I use the poundland silicone bread tray-about the size of say 1/12 malt loafs!
45gm soya flour
45 g ground almonds
50gm melted butter
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 tsp salt
5 medium aldi eggs
6 tablespoons single cream.
50gms seasame seeds-ground.
Simply mix together....around 45 mins at 370 is-until top browns & scewer comes out clean...! Great with cheese...soup etc! Not as 'heavy' as flax bread! Enjoy!
PS. Just nudging under 13stone 9 now...seem to have been losing weight as trousers looser but taking its time on the scales...!0 -
I hope everyone has had a great christmas
I have and totally agree with you Beanrua, I'm ignoring labels & just eating/drinking anything I fancy. (Which suprisingly has been alot:j)
I have a buffet to do for 6.30pm for family coming but I haven't moved for the last hour:o
It could of be the glass of wine I had at lunch
I really need to find a buffet way of using up hc stuffing, need to get my creative head on.Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -
Glad everyone had a good and carb filled xmas
I've found myself avoiding carbs out of choice because I don't like the bloated feeling! I had a chocolate orange for xmas brekkie, bit of xmas pud, few ryvita and a bowl of flax and oat porridge(actually only 20g carb and about 10g fibre!) which isn't much for three days. Oh, does dry red and white wine count?
It's been lovely having a glass of wine with every meal...
I'm ready to get back into LC now, feeling really positive and determind. The Hollister jeans my cousin bought back from the US for me are the smallest size 10s I've ever seen, more like a 6/8
I've got a turkey vegetable soup on the go, lots of workouts lined up and shed loads of enthusiasm! I got lots of lovely stuff from Lush and Boots in the sales today(me, mum and sis did a bit of a tag team, all sprinting to a diff shop at opening time to get the first pick lol) so will be getting on top of Frugal Frump To Fab too.
I've ordered Carole Maggio's No Lipo Lipo so I will be reporting on how that goes, it's really popular on the essential day spa forum so fingers crossed it helps. Apparently it's very good for fat around the mid section.
Looking forward to the thread getting up and running again :jLiving cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Hi all!
Well...now at 13 stone 8 (86.3kg)-well chuffed as,,,, ahem had a lot of vodka (!). Made a nice stir fry last night, some soy sauce, peanut butter, 1 tsp coconut milk powder, splenda, chilli, spring onions, frozen spinach, red peper & ALDI (god I love that shop) pre-cooked chicken strips -guess around 11/12 gms carbs? Very nice. However tried to thicken with XANTHAM -very 'odd' jelly like taste! Think next time I'll take the carbs in a teaspoon of cornflour (!).0 -

Hi folks, been lurking but not posting.
Had a good xmas as did everyone else it seems
Not resricted carbs at all although didn't eat that much but have had severe heartburn, not knocking carbs, i love to eat them but they just dont agree with me
Loads left to eat, the boys will devour most of it but the luxury xmas pud will be left for me so.. gonna have it as my weekend treat until it's used up.
We went through so much meat i've had to go out to buy more already (yesterday).
The huuuge boxes of chocs are disappearing at an alarming rate too, thankfully not by me
Eldest boy gone home today, hopefully the Hammersmith flyover problem wont cause him too much delay on the way back as he was delayed for four hours on the way here, poor sod had a twelve hour coach journey from Norwich.
Back to work tomorrow so back to lc.. hopefully0 -
I'm proud to say I did not eat alot of candy however loads of carbs
Oh well back to my veggies and it doesn't feel all too bad.
Hope to start a new sports course next week too!0 -
Hiya
Sounds like everyone has been enjoying xmas.
I was at my sisters so I did restrict the main carbs just so I wouldnt be bad with asthma. I did have xmas pudding though and stuffing and everything else i wanted, just not potatoes, bread and pasta.
I put on 1lb!So I am very pleased and even after sitting in a room with 2 cats all day I had no problems with my asthma. And I didnt feel that I missed out and didnt even miss the roast potatoes so I am very pleased with myself. I did think i would go on a bit of a binge especially with drinking alot.
When is everyone back on the wagon? I am going away tomorrow and staying with someone who has a cat so have to be good again. and then in centre parcs and taking the kids swimming every day so cant be ill for that so looks like my pizza tonight will be my only cheat and hopefully as no cats around it shouldnt effect me too badly.0 -
Morning (just!) everyone. I was going to get back to LC yesterday, but didn't.... then today, but had two thorntons chocs
I have just done 50 minutes of exercise though (bodyrock, http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=2lLCgMXhCZk#! and yoga) and will resume LC and general healthyness as of now! I want to get rid of all this pesky muscle glycogen in the next two days so I can be nice and unbloated for when I go back to London. Mazzers hope DS makes it back okay, i was lucky getting out as I booked a cheap train but am driving back to London friday.
I'm not weighing myself, I know I will have "gained" a few lbs and having it confirmed will just upset me and send me reaching for more choccie. I'll weigh myself after a week back on LC, hopefully that will have undone any xmas damage.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0
