Well thats more like it, some positive posts

Alias, you feel like i do, down and cant be bothered to cook (or clean) but i dont really have a reason, just life in general getting me down, i think its because for the first time since my partner and i broke up i am fed up of being on my own.

Anyway, i think kev has found the answer, water, look how much he drinks, do any of us drink that much, doubt it, i know i dont so will try drinking more from today.

Yesterday i tried getting back on track but had limited success cos my heart wasnt in it, but my friend has lectured me  and told me not to undo my hard work and to think of the summer, so i am going to sort myself out today.

Mercy, glad to see you are in high spirits, i'm coming to join you:rotfl:

So come on alias, lets try and shape up and get back on track and like paula said, if your hungry eat more. I am going to cook moussaka today (which will be like the lasagne but with lamb and aubergine) because it helps if you have something nice to look forward to. I never did make the coconut cakes either so will also give them a whirl.

Daisyclaire, i dont think i felt 'sick' but dont know about anyone else.

Maybe we all need something to look forward to. We should check if the Travel Lodge is doing any cheapo rooms, pick somewhere central in the middle of all of us and book a room so's we can all meet up and [STRIKE]party[/STRIKE] discuss recipes. :rotfl:That might cheer us up. :D

In a few months time. :o *thinks....how much weight I'd need to lose first* :rotfl:

    P.S. I hate water. yeuch. :D

    Hi peeps!

I'm with mazzers on the water front. (sounds like a day out :))

Just to polish up the (already gleaming) halo, I've been making sure I put away 2L+ water every day this week. I have half pint to pint before work, a mug full after every coffee and before lunch, a pint when I get in and a couple more through evening. Then 1 pint to bed incase I wake up thirsty :) Funnily, I often do :)

Definately think it's the water helping rid me of bloat and make me feel more 'well'.

I put a tiny amount of lime cordial in the water I drink at home to make it more palatable. Don't forget fruit teas too!

I would love to meet everyone too :j:j

I was drinking lots, and funnily enough the more i drank the more i wanted, and now, the less i drink the less i want, i usually have some sugar free lemon squash in mine but drink plain old water too.

Maybe thats why i stopped losing  cos i stopped drinking..
  • Newish butts in.........:p

I drink at least 2L of water every day (I use an empty 2L coke botte filled with water in the fridge so I know I'm having the minimum IYKWIM). Every time I make myself a cup of coffee (which is very often) I have a glass of water first. I've usually finished my water by teatime.;)

Daisy Claire - I haven't felt physically sick on atkins but around day 4/5 I do feel fluey and very hungry but believe that is ketosis kicking in:confused:. I'm at that stage at the mo after my carb fest at Easter:o

Sweet - make sure you keep posting:). I've got the IPD book too. It's very good.

What a miserable looking day:rolleyes:. I really need to go shopping but hate it when it rains and the kiddies are home........... it means you get EXTRA wet getting them in and out of the car:rolleyes:
If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.

    My way is Atkins;)

I also drink at least 2L of water everyday and do the same as you Newish, using an empty 2L water bottle in the fridge so I know exactly how much I've drank. It was weigh in day today about I have put on 2lb after my Easter binge!! Bit disapointed but can't expect to lose when I have been eating bad things. Have been properly LC since tuesday and will continue so hopefully have a better weight in day next week. I am also going to try the water balance tablets Kev mentioned to see if they help, as I always seen to have a bloated stomach.
    Started Atkins 22/02/09 - total weightloss 11lbs:j

I tend to weigh myself every Friday and struggle not to weigh myself more :)

When I was seriously trying to lost weight I found this depressing - its too horrid when the day you weigh happens to be a 'fat' day. I weighed every day but kept a (sad geek) spreadsheet and graph of progress vs target that I updated each morning - I found this helped a lot as small fluctuations upwards didn't upset me when I could see the general downward trend and past success.
I've still got it somewhere and am happy to resurrect it, tidy it a bit and pass it on to anyone who has excel and wants it.

I certainly couldn't have left it to once a month. Respect for anyone with that amount of self control!

So its only me and alias thats not been drinking then :o

And we are the ones moaning the most  :rotfl:

Hanspan will pm you my email address as i wouldnt mind having that graph.. thanks

I wont be having the water tablets..

It was diuretics that caused me to be rushed to A&E as i have low potassium and they almost completely depleted it, which resulted in atrial fibrillation, ( doc said i was very lucky not to suffer a stroke) and the death of a small portion of the heart muscle. So be careful.
