Thanks Ted and Mercy for the interested links. Will definitely not be trying to source the soy flour anymore. Haven't ever tried any of the low carb diet/atkins bars and dont' intend to they never seem to have had any good feedback and from what I can gather a lot of people stall when eating them.Started Atkins 22/02/09 - total weightloss 11lbs:j0

Tis a sunny day, but dark clouds are looming.
I am having connection problems again
The less said about what i ate yesterday the better
Am going for bacon and eggs soon.
Cannot decide which direction to go, so sticking with LC for the mo cos of the un-bloatedness. Is a great feeling.
Spent the whole day on my lappy yesterday, so am going out for the day today :T0 -
I personally prefer the Lidl ones
Always drain them as I find too much vinegar a bit bleh. the carb count is something like <2% so I'm not too worried about that. Had mine with cream cheese/mayo and boiled egg mashed together and crispy salad. Yum!
On the water front - had about 1 and half pints so far. Getting more exercise going to the loo too
Checked the roll mop carbs - 0.2%! Going to get some more tomorrowlow carb recipe list - link on page 1 low carb support threadYou don't have any control over what life throws at you.You DO have control over how you react0 -
morning all!
I'm starting to lose the bloat now, not bad after 2 or 3 days lc. Am fired up to carry on now I'm seeing a bit of a difference. May well make a bakewell tart to celebrate
I stopped using nuts and almond flour for a bit but it wasn't that stalling me so not made a bakewell for ages. Can't wait to get home now
New exercise regime to kick off tonight too. Lots of sit ups and toning to be done.
Weather a bit rubbish and cold here, outsideI've got my own radiator :rotfl:
Happy day to all!

Morning all
Just a quick post to say I'm off low-carb for the time being. Think I need a break to think things through. Also got other issues but won't go into them.
I like the unbloatedness feeling of l-c too but when you put weight back on so quickly after just eating a piece of toast it is so disheartening. Ok I know I've eaten more than just a piece of toast but you get the gist. I certainly haven't pigged out.
Thought my 4lb loss last week was a lot to do with my bike rides, energetic walks etc but now I'm not so sure. Most of it is back on after just a couple of days eating carbs.
Have just got the Idiot Proof Diet book in the post this morning so I'm going to read through that & see what I think.
Actually, that wasn't such a quick post. Bye for now.0 -
Mercy I'm making a quiche today but as you've mentioned the bakewell tart might make one of those also, do you use the recipe using 100ml raspberry puree and if do you buy it as a puree or mash your own or could you use a sugar free jam instead?Started Atkins 22/02/09 - total weightloss 11lbs:j0

I can't see a problem with sugar free jam. I use asda's raspberry coulis. That has about 20g carbs. Works out at 3g ish per slice. Altogether 6g per slice, so quite a lot could be saved using lower carb jam. I like the coulis as it's v tangy, also, couldn't find any s/free jam in asda the first time I made it. Mashing your own would be lovely I thinkMaybe with a spoon of s/free jam if you have it?
Does s/free jam have a sweetener aftertaste? Can't stand things that do and that's put me off really tracking any down. Eg not really keen on s/free jelly for that reason.
