  • Hello everyone,
Whats's up with you all? Buck your ideas up! You need to be strong! Because if you tumble, what hope is there for me?

HC, you've lost over 3 stone! That is some achievement!

Sweet, you've also lost 1 1/2 stone which is brilliant! Don't give up now!

    Aliasjo, 34lb! Wow!

How can you not look back and see how far you've come? So get those books out and look up those lists of recipes for inspiration. Chicken/quorn cooked with mushrooms and then with creme fraiche added! Cheesy asparagus omelette served with a crisp fresh salad! Badger's yoghurt with strawberries and a topping of chopped nuts!

Just make a list of the 'allowed' foods and then pick out something you really fancy. Come on everyone, you can do it! Get those pinnies on, wave those frying pans around (not you Mazzers with your history! You can wave a celery stick. It's probably safest! LOL) March out into the streets shouting "I can do it! I can do it!"

(cue the music at this point. Me, on my lone stage, gradually rising up, right arm extended, head held high)

So do this for yourselves! For your families! For your country! God save America!

(Music gets louder as everyone claps and cheers and smiles all round. Cue credits)

    Hi guys!

Well I feel virtuous in comparison to all the slackers :A

Really up for low carbing again, enjoying the 'clean' foods I have been deprived of the last week or so. Does anyone else like pickled herring? Went to asda monday and bought eggs, smoked salmon trimmings, cream cheese and salad. Enough according to my meal plans for the week, when supplemented with meat from the freezer. Shouldn't 'need' the shop again til weekend so can't buy drink or rubbish.

Am trying to go ketogenic for next few weeks to really clean up the system. I've ordered flax and hemp oil, flax for the ketogenic cocktail from Ted. Not sure what the hemp oil is supposed to do but increased my order to free postage status :)

Also ordered some coconut flour. Fancy experimenting with that when it comes. I've spotted some interesting recipes and will post when I know they're ok.

For those of us feeling carby, why not make a bakewell tart? Or the cocoa candy? I'm also going to attempt a low carb Manchester Tart after my sistas lovely regular one.

Come on chaps! Gaye - I'm on the plinth with you!

Whatever you do, get enough water. That's really important as you know. Maybe making an effort in that way will lead to further virtue?

Make meal plans too and buy for them. As Gaye says, we got the books, find the food we've not had for a while and tuck in :) It's easy to get jaded.

    Best of luck guys.

If still wavering, strip off and jump about in front of the mirror :rotfl: Worked wonders for my commitment :j  :rotfl: ;)

    Big love

Yes, I do Mercy. Do you mean Rollmops? The Asda ones are nicer than the Lidl`s, but they`re quite sweet : Sugar AND sweeteners. If I have them I drain all the juice off, and all the onions, which seems a bit of a waste.
Back in the dark ages, we made them in school cookery lessons.....but they`re a lot of fiddling around. I can`t imagine kids doing it now.

    Def an aquired taste.....:D

I made an enormous fish pie for everyone last night (mine without the mash....Boo!)Then I finished off the tin of anchovies while I was cooking......Mmmm ....salty.

I personally prefer the Lidl ones :) Always drain them as I find too much vinegar a bit bleh. the carb count is something like <2% so I'm not too worried about that. Had mine with cream cheese/mayo and boiled egg mashed together and crispy salad. Yum!

On the water front - had about 1 and half pints so far. Getting more exercise going to the loo too :)

  • Hi everyone, I haven't posted for a while but I have been reading all your confessions over the Easter break and it has made me smile, only because I was also in the naughty corner with you lot. But since yesterday have been back on the lc wagon. A quick question for anyone - does anyone use soy flour and if so can you get it in any supermarkets or health food stores? Our Tescos doesn't sell it and Holland and Barret don't sell it online so would assume they don't sell it in store. I know that I can get it from other sources online but because of the weight the postage far out weights the cost of the flour.

    Hi Peeps!

Everyone sounds so down..... You need some of this: :silenced:

and a bit more of : :naughty: . At least the Chocolate Egg-fest is out of the way.
I`ve read all your confessions and had a good chuckle.....serves you right!!!!! :rotfl:

    But
I`ve BEEN GOOD (honest). Not one naughty thing has passed my lips and I haven`t lost a flippin` ounce. I`ve had to cook for visiting family and bought in biscuits, desserts and all sorts of rubbish, like you do. Had none of it. Unless I accidently INHALED some spud fumes, or something.......
    I just don`t get it!
I`ve got to get weighed early next week and I`m 5lb short of this month`s target.
Are they putting something in the water? Could I be a secret nocturnal sleep-eater?
(No tell-tale crumbs in the bed...)
    Any suggestions ?

Thats what happened to me on my 'good' in fact 'very good' phase..

You get so despondent when others are cheating a bit and you've been so good and dont lose.
So.. i woke this morning craving granary toast and vowed if i haven't lost, i'm having some, so i jumped on the scales and had lost 1/2 ish of a lb.. not good enough, so i had one slice.
Am contemplating SW red days or anna dahlqvist.
