smeeinnit :T well done
sunny i have gained a pound overnight must be the chinese
I have found some wholegrain rice crackers in holl@and and b@rr@t that are 2.9g carbs per slice and are really nice they are made by kallo. i have tried the GG ones but they are too cardboardy for me .
i am going to have a go at a LC bread recipe. I bought some coconut flour a while a go but never used it , has anyone made bread with it? I think i might try it this weekend and if its carp i'll try sunnys recipe instead
I read somewhere that someone (rolls eyes... not much help really)had adapted a lc bread recipe and used coconut flour, will see if i can find it.0 -

Its the review at bottom of page by farmers attic, replace half the soyflour with coconut flour, there is also one further down (if you look at all 52) that uses all coconut flour, i used nut flour in mine and although not as light, isn't so foam like.0 -
Can you get psyllium husks in tablet form? i am sure i had some years ago like big pills or i powder that i put it in bread???
i have done so well today (even when the kids decorated cakes in family afterschool club. they put xmas tress on top. looked so cool until they got put in a bag and swung round by the kids!) but i have had 1/2 glass of red wine and just want to bing on choccy. at the moment i am resisting.........
adelight - i was looking at carb counts on ryvitas today as well! far too high for me.
Sunnyday - are gherkins low carb? are they the jarred ones as all the ones i find dont have carb counts on. i was looking today. have a lovely 12 days off. got anything nice planned?0 -
Nuttybabe, my gherkins are 4.5 per 100g so that makes them ok.
Psyllium husk does come in tablet form but are expensive in H&B.
Not sure about putting them in bread but they are fibre-ey so maybe :cool:0 -

ooooo are they jarred gherkins that say on the side they have sugar in? if they are i think i will buy some. i dont even know if i like them but something to try! :rotfl:
when i first started and hubby was doing low carb as well we were both working before having kids so had more money than now so i think we probably bought them in tablet form. infact i think i remember throwing them out after hubby gave up and they went out of date!
i used to buy loads of stuff on line to make it easier for hubby and then ended up throwing it all out. i am quite happy to stick to the basics but he wont live without chips etc. i even bought some low carb alternative to mash potatoes and tried to make them into chips for him! it didnt work well and didnt taste very nice either!0 -

They are from a jar, in sweet and sour vinegar, got them in Tesco (la doria) usually get them in Aldi tho as they're cheaper..i have cocktail ones in just malt vinegar that are higher carb
We love them sliced on home made cheese burgers.
I've wasted loads of money on lc niceties too, stick to the basics now, except for the bread, def worth the extra expense for that, and it would be more expensive to buy (if we could get it) anyway;)

whoo hoo thank you. will get them next time i go shopping
i have never tried lc bread even when i made it. not because i dont like bread but because i think if i have it, i will have too much so if i dont miss it then why risk the gluttony. (i can eat a whole loaf of tiger bread in one go  but if i stop for a while i dont miss it) but it was the only thing that made hubby stick to it for as long as he did. might look at making it again and trying to get him low carbing again, he has quite alot of weight to lose.0
