  • Morning all :)

Lovely sounding recipes murphy, thanks for posting

Hi mirry, I think I saw you posting further back in the thread when I was catching up, well done on the 6lbs loss :T

Lol at adelight & HanSpan with yet more posts about chocolate!! :p

Well, pork No. 1 from Tesco (as recommended by mazzers) was lovely last night, although maybe a bit too much garlic added. Pork No. 2 from Aldi was still pink inside after the cooking time (+ 10 extra minutes) so that went in for another 20 minutes & came out looking like shoe leather :o Not sure that will be getting eaten today, but if anyone has any shoes that need new soles.... :(

The following [STRIKE]excuses[/STRIKE] good reasons are laying ground for what I've already eaten/will probably be eating later...

I've been awake & in pain since 3am this morning - I've had a frozen shoulder for the last 4 months & it's been really giving me jip lately. I'm also feeling very hormonal because of still imminent totm - wish it would just hurry up & get on with it!!

    So, onto today's 'planned' menu...

    B - leftover pork no. 1, 2 strips hazelnut chocolate :o
L - 2 buttered crispbreads with topping, HM soup, more chocolate??
    D - chicken & veg, more chocolate??

Might make murphy's hot chocolate sometime today as well (for medicinal purposes).

Hopefully normal service will be resumed tomorrow - happy chocolate-laden LC days everyone :)

Sympathies on the shoulder Sweet

Breakfast scoffed, tasted almost the same as yesterdays poached eggs on wholemeal toast :)
This loaf is a lifesaver if you love bread, cant believe it's low carb.
Didn't rise quite as much as last time and is a bit sloping (strange as the same ingredients ?) looked a little wet when mixing, think i'll cut the water down.

I'm off to pick up my replacement laptop soon, it's all pink and girly :D

Will get another pork fillet as they are great value, might make a creamy mustardy sauce this time.. mine was a skinny one too Sweet.

I love the sound of those roasties too, thanks for the recipe PP, they should go great with creamy mustardy pork :)

    Afternoon Peeps

i`ve had a rotten day so if you`re in a positive mood now is the time to look away:eek:

First there were oodles of cupcakes on the go at w*rk so i`ve eaten half a ton of them and now feel like a bloated stuffed pig and i`m regretting eating every single one, secondly i`ve had the most horrendous shift and am so wound up i could easily snap at the slightest thing, third the weather is shocking and with lots of traffic and winds of well over 50mph its taken me ages to get home as well as receiving a nasty soaking as the rain was hitting me in the face as i was walking so i`m soaked wet and knackered.

I`m now trying to calm down with a cuppa before i have a hot shower to warm up and then i`m off to visit Dad as its his Birthday today and i want to cheer him up as he`s stuck in the house, then i need to come home and start prepping tea for which i have no enthusiasm whatsoever GRRR!!! I could easily open the nice shiny new bottle of voddie that looking at me from the cupboard and drink the lot and then drift off into a nice cosy sleep. I can`t wait for tomorrow to be over and then i have some leave to take and boy am i more than ready for it.

    Sorry to moan peeps:o

On a more even keel brekkie was bacon and scramblies with mushrooms and dinner was a beef and extra hot horseradish sandwich, tea was meant to be lc sausage casserole and swede but could easily turn into something that it shouldn`t be depending on what time i get back home. The slowcooker was meant to go on this morning but i ended up leaving the house extra early due to the weather so the planned easy tea is wishful thinking BAH!

Sweet - Hope that your shoulder is feeling better now, keeping it warm should help a bit

Mazzers - My last two loaves have been sloping too - wonder what thats all about - cue *puzzled look*

I actually feel a bit better now that i`ve ranted a bit :D

Sorry if i appear a bit out of it today, i`ve read through the last few posts and can hardly remember who said what:o I think that frazzled is my name today:o

    I`m off for a shower!

    Have a good evening everyone!

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

*hugs* sunnyday tomorrow will be better but maybe the weather won't be.
mazzers i'm following a low carb ketogenic diet so I eat <20g of net carbs and 65% of my total calories come from fat. I log with caloriecount.about so it's easy to keep an eye on my food I don't sit there with a calc working out % lol.
An 80g serving of garden peas only has 6g of net carbs so it's not that bad, it's just not recommended on atkins because it does have more carbs than most.
sweet hope your shoulder feels better soon. TITOM is hell! I messed up my pills last month so had to take two packets without a break and my TITOM has been incoming for about two weeks :rotfl:

What's the bread recipe everyone's making? How many carbs are in it? I want some bread :(

I did a circuit workout this morning and rewarded myself with peanut butter choc cake for brekfast :D It's just a scoop of protein powder, tbs flax meal, tbs cocoa, 1/2tsp baking powder, tbs peanut butter, 1 egg and water microwaved for a minute.
My housemate had 2 days o.o.d minced steak that he didn't want to eat so I had it! I had beef and cabbage for lunch and will turn the rest into a big yummy chilli tonight. OH gets his with rice and I get mine with... cheese lol. Ooops I also just had some more double cream choc mousse- i'm revising hard so I deserve it hehe.

    Hiya

Hows everyone managing with water? i am usually quite good but now its cold i just cant seem to drink much. i am having green tea alot but cant manage lots of water.

Just been sorting out xmas plans and told ds that i will have to low carb (after visiting the other weekend) and was told i would be hungry! so other than pork scratchings what can i keep in my bag for emergencies? i dont like the mattesons sausages as the last one had a peice of bone in it :(. they will have a houseful so would rather not have to keep stuff in fridge as it will probably be used by someone else (and not sure if they will have the room) :p

but on the plus side i had our volunteers xmas do today and didnt have any of the food again. had a huge fry up for brunch so didnt want any anyway :A

I don't drink much water even in summer. I just don't like it much. I drink lots of tea with lacto free milk, and occasional coffee with cream.
I went to lunch with friends today (Italian). Was reasonably restrained - spiced fish cakes and salad, followed by a wild boar burger with cheese, lettuce & tomato (divine!), I skipped the bun & chips but had 3 scoops of gorgeous ice cream, so it's back on the wagon again for me now.

nuttybabe do you like tinned mackerel or tuna?
I drink a lot of water, always have, about 7L lately and 2L green/herbal tea. Herbal tea is just as good as water, what about sugar free squash?
