hannoja - thats for reposting the recipe - now i dont need to search for it. i was thinking of cayanne pepper in mine to give it a kick! :D might just make them as traybake and cut them up when cooked??????

That's not a bad idea actually - don't know why they spread so much?

Thought I would try making choux pastry buns with grounds almonds (they are very fine) they are in the oven at the mo. but currently looking more like macaroons!!:(

    Evening all

i am so pleased today. firstly cos i bought a pair of river island jeans for £1.20 (looks almost new) in charity shop and secondly cos they are a size 10 and are not as snug as i usually wear them so i have a little room to 'bloat' from xmas and new year and holiday. :D but also are perfectly fine but with a belt. and did i say they are a size 10. :D

hubby brought home my fav wine today so going to have a glass or 3!!! :rotfl:

Size 10 :D excellent *said in a Mr Burns voice*

just trying to do a mealplan and sort out a shopping list but i`m running out of ideas, think i`ll pinch pinkprincess' idea for steak mushrooms and onions though for one day nomnomnom!

Just been looking outside and everything is frozen solid, all the cars parked along the road are white and sparkly, i thought it had snowed at first but its only a very thick layer of ice.

I fell asleep on the sofa last night i was so tired, i can`t even remember nodding off but when i woke all the animals were down here with me lol, DH is upstairs in bed. Think the younger dog may have been trying to wake me as i woke up covered in toys :rotfl:

Todays plan is shopping, dogwalking and more painting not necessarily in that order and i must find something for tea that involves beef mince, i have some in the fridge with yesterdays date on so need to use it up tonight, we had chilli last night so thats out. Maybe spag bol and i can have courgette ribbons with mine.

Right i need to get a move on so have a great lc day peeps

    SD
Planning on starting the GC again soon :p
  • Up early today as I have to work :( oh well last weekend I have to work till end of January :) weighed myself again yesterday, another 1lb off :) but I did have 1 piece of KFC, I was at a working lunch, it would have been rude not to :D

I treated myself to some S&V peanuts yesterday and they were just so heavenly!! I know I am allowed peanuts on Dr D but find they stall me so usually refrain. Problem is the packet keeps staring at me, finding....it....hard....to resist.....no cannot they are coming to work with me!

    Have a good day peeps

Well done on the weight loss. Aren't you already at your target though?
Dr D.. is that Dr Dahlqvist?

I finally had a result on the Psyllium front this morning.. Made me jump on the wii to weigh myself :rotfl: but no difference. Hrmph!

Still, my 'CoG' has improved since yesterday; almost bang on now. I just need to remember to put a little more weight on the front of my feet, especially on the right side.. hopefully if I keep doing this, it'll become natural... Then I'll find that it was our uneven floor all along! :rotfl:

Better go or I'll be late. Will be home in time for Strictly hopefully :j

Have a good lc day :D

I finally decided to find out on mine and did the test with my back to the telly (it took several goes). It was indeed the floor!

ooooo are they jarred gherkins that say on the side they have sugar in? if they are i think i will buy some. i dont even know if i like them but something to try! :rotfl:

I've just realised I've never read the carb count on these, I just spend forever searching for the ones with no sugar but if they are actually higher in carbs I wonder if I'm going about it all the wrong way!

I can't remember where I got the jars I've just dug out of the fridge but the two foreign ones with no sugar, but no carb count either, are probably from Lidl or Aldi. There's also a jar from Waitrose that has sugar and is 4.5 carbs. All three are actually cornichons (weeny pickles) and have little onions and peppercorns and things in. I suspect all three jars are out of date, have probably gone soggy and probably need to go in the bin - I am useless!

I've also found haywards mixed pickles - 1.6g carbs (these are fab) and Haywards picked red cabbage - 2.2g carbs (these taste great but I always find quite irritating to serve).
And of course, most importantly, a jar of pickled eggs. Those never sit in the fridge long enough to go off in this house.

There's a lot of pickled stuff in my fridge! Mind you I think that's partly because I can't see to the back of the top shelf ;)
